Like what was mentioned previously, it seemed that the the trainers/medical staff knew within 15-30 seconds that this was really bad.
In this extreme heart failure assumption, what did they notice so quickly?

I knew something was wrong immediately when seeing the billls trainer. He went straight to his wakie talkie, and also started doing a throat grab signal to the bengals trainer.

Well, you check pulse and respiration as soon as you run into that situation. If he was unresponsive and had no pulse or respirations you automatically waive emergency staff in and start CPR.

Also worth a read, this was from a conference call a bit ago from NFL staff. Explains the response a bit. Long story, short emergency staff at all stadiums are well-trained for these kind of potential emergencies.

So when the game resumes, is the score and time still the same?

How could it not? That would make no sense. If resumed it should pick up same score, time, and situation. Pretty easy to do in any sport.

For this young man’s situation, he had the quickest and best care possible.

I saw that too. How did they not know it was cardiac in nature and to activate that tree of response (as opposed to, say, a brain injury, spinal emergency, etc.).

Bengals trainers were out as quickly as their Bills colleagues. Maybe there is some sort of signal one side can give to the other in life and death emergencies?

You also typically have staff from the home team that is on the sideline with the opposing team to assist. We always had two trainers on the opposing sideline for home games.

As I said before, the emergency staff for this level is highly trained and coordinated to run like a well-oiled machine.

Imagine how heartwarming it would be if he pulls through and finds out $2,000,000 was donated to his charity while he was out. What a great story that would be.

I don't mean this in a bad way but I am pretty sure if he pulls through he is not going to give a damn how much was donated to his charity. He's going to give a damn that he pulled through.

I'm pretty sure he'll see it as support from thousands of people and will mean more to him than you think.

Obviously I’m unsure what actually caused this, but outside of this happening in a hospital, the huge number of expert medical personnel surrounding him during a game gives him the best chance of damn near anywhere.

To be fair, it was in response to someone asking what they’d do if he died on the field.
