It blows my mind that the coaches had to make the decision to suspend play (assuming that is actually how it went down). Obviously the postponement had to have league involvement, but it's still crazy that it took that long to even make that call. Those men were clearly in no mental state to continue that game.
When all is said and done, the right decision was made and that is the most important thing.

When things happen, people are always looking for someone to shite on. This instance, it's the NFL.
The right decision got made and it got made in a timely manner. It is not a situation that anyone wants to happen or had in their mind would happen.

Current protocol is...wait for it...current protocol. CPR on the field isn't a usual occurrence. You would have done the same thing, because put in the same situation all you have to fall back on is...wait for it...current protocol. No one was holding anyone on the field at gunpoint to play the fricking game like comic book villains. Get a fricking life, dude. Twitter has turned all your brains to spaghetti.

I love how people gripe about how the world is going to shite and people suck (it is and they do for the most part) but also throw a bitch fit when people show their good side by donating millions of dollars to a guy who just almost died on national tv and was trying to do good in the world.
Donating million of dollars to a guy who was extremely well compensated and had a huge insurance policy on himself. They donated to a foundation, that normally makes gift purchases around Christmas time. That money is going to padded salaries and overhead. It's knee jerk, idiotic donating. What good will this money do?

Bengals trainers were out as quickly as their Bills colleagues. Maybe there is some sort of signal one side can give to the other in life and death emergencies?
Having been involved with on field medical care with the Saints, I can say the NFL has their act together. Besides 2 advanced life support 3 man crews on the sidelines their is a dedicated “ER Airway Physician” with the primary ambulance crew.
If you watch the Saints and an injury occurs, one of the Paramedics will immediately move to the sideline stripe on the home team side while the other 2 medics will get on the ambulance cart and be ready to move onto the field if needed.
The Team has medically trained staff and physicians on the sidelines who will go onto the field to initially evaluate the injured player. They have medical equipment also.
The Paramedic on the sideline has one responsibility during that time which is to look specifically at the head trainer or designee. If the trainer extends his arms straight out at his sides, that is the signal that the ambulance crew, medical cart and airway physician are required on field.
The Airway Physician is a certified ER physician that would be the person to intubate the injured player if needed even though Paramedics can perform that skill. The physician can also perform surgical airway procedures should intubation not be an option or was unsuccessful.
During that time their is a designated transport ambulance in the tunnel that is ready to transport the injured player or go onto the field if necessary.
The medical plan is reviewed on each gameday and communication is established between the ambulance supervisor on field and the head trainer.
Many of the on site Paramedics work the Saints practices, where an ambulance is on standby and also on gameday. They train together on medical operations so when an injury occurs everyone knows their role and I think provide some of the quickest and best medical care should an injury occur such as last night.

You’re making it sound like his little foundation that did a toy drive two years ago is the Red Cross or something

It's run by humans...humans are evil creatures when money gets involved. Guaranteed this money gets absolutely wasted on the people that run this charity in the form of salary and overhead. Status quo for runaway train charities.

How many full time employees do you think it has?

About to be more.

And all these new people will steal it because all charities are a waste?

Why am I evil? Is pragmatism now considered evil? Am I evil because I didn't shut off my brain and feel all warm and fuzzy about people throwing away their hard earned money to an NFL player's tax shelter for twitter likes?

He was a 6th round pick in 2021. Roughly $4MM contract. That money won’t go far if he’s forced to retire after 2 years. No pension, no benefits, etc- all those kick in after Year 5, I think.
ETA: After Year 3
Do NFL players have insurance policies on themselves? I thought that was a college player thing, but I could be wrong
