They re going to get in more commercials if they can. These companies paid a lot and they still have a captive audience.
I fricking hate that you're absolutely right about this. This is 100% their thinking.

You need to grow up. Do we see you sobbing for the 2000+ people that died over last 20 minutes? I don't think so.

Doesn't this game basically determine the number 2 vs number 3 seed in the playoffs? it's the difference of getting a first round bye. A lot at stake.

1 vs 2 seed also because KC is ahead of Buffalo without a win tonight

ETA: they should still postpone or cancel though. Pretty shitty that they haven't already

They tried to restart the game with a 5 minute "warm up" time right after the dude was taken off the field in an ambulance. They are absolutely braindead

Yeah. That’s decision is gonna be questioned over and over for the next few weeks.

The nfl isn’t completely braindead.
This has nothing to do with the current situation, but the NFL officially went brain dead 1-2 yrs ago.

No updates at this point seems bad.

It’s obviously not the same situation but there basically wasn’t any update the rest of the night when Shazier got hurt. And it turned out to be the worst case scenario from what everyone saw on the field.

That is what is making me anxious. But it’s just speculation at this point.

Commissioner needs to go ahead and make the call. This game is already over for the Bills and the Bengals probably feeling the same way.

I think an outcome must be established and I don’t know if the bengals want a tie

I think NFL teams today are smart enough to know that the PR blowback if one team refuses a tie because the other team had one of their players die on the field would be horrific.

If he’s okay and is stabilized - similar to Christian Erickson - then yeah, maybe resume the game later this week and push their Week 17 matches back a couple days.

But I don’t think an outcome has to be established tonight.

The “Suzy Kolber sucks” hot takes are strong right now. It’s up there with the Rose Bowl is overrated.

Just read up on this.

Crazy that it has to happen at an exact part of the heart beat and at an exact area of the heart.

Doesn’t surprise me that it’s only about 15-25 incidents a year

Rewinded that hit and it was a very violent hit Higgins dished out on Hamlin. Wonder if it ruptured a major artery or something like that?
