My biggest concern about both QB's is reading defenses in NFL. Kap said Trubinsky was the real deal, and I take him at his word. Watson has a flair about him. But was it the offense design or him? I am not sold on him, but I think he will be a good pro not Matt Flynn like at least.

The NFL is such a different game, it's hard to project who will adapt and who won't. This is why I love the NFL.

Trust me I know. The things that WR use to read coverages is incredible and the QB's have to do so even more. The size of the football could be a major adjustment also as you are not using 5's you are using the 1 size (Wilson measurements).

I was at Tuesday's practice in West Virginia. Watson looked good. Among the organized chaos he only appeared to have one or two misreads. He had some really nice throws and was distributing the ball around. He seemed to really connect with the rookie WR (little white dude) from Iowa. Reminded me of the Renfrow chemistry. He was able to break lose and run for a couple first downs without being touched. He only scrimmaged on the second team squad but there were moments when the whole team was oohing, awwing and cheering some of his plays.

Meanwhile up in Chicago Trubisky is having trouble with completing a qb/rb exchange

Literally the day before Watson had the same issue.

I wouldn't expect a rookie QB to be able to do much against the best D in the L

O Brien wouldn't even let him throw it more than 10 yards last night. Dude reminds me of bridgewater. Severely limited by arm strength

Nah I'll admit he hasn't looked that great. Disappointing really. He did some ok things in the first two games, last night was bad tho

Meh.

Brett didn't know what a nickel defense was.

watson was always one of those guys I looked at and wondered why in the hell do people think his game would translate over to the NFL

he's not accurate, he's turnover prone, he had NFL talent everywhere around him and he's not an elite runner

he needed a year with a QB coach that can actually coach QBs

I wanted the Saints to draft Watson so badly...Let's see if Lattimore pans out.

Neither Bridgewater nor Watson lack armstength.
