Barry Sanders’ biggest what if is “what if he didn’t play for Detroit”. That guy could have amassed 25,000 rushing yards had he played for a different team.

Great in AA ball but you never heard anything about him when he went to the Show.

The first 3 injuries, if Doc wasn’t a junkie he would’ve been a HOFer

There’s no way I would have believed Reggie Bush wouldn’t have a Hall of Fame career in the NFL after watching him in college.

What Marcus Lattimore would have done in the NFL if he didn't get injured at South Carolina. Great player and great person.

I feel like the expectations for Reggie coming out of college were maybe part of what hindered him. I remember those days, everyone, including myself, believed Reggie Bush was the greatest thing since sliced bread. He was gonna be the next Barry Sanders, the next Gale Sayers.

In the end, he was good, but nowhere near what people thought he was going to be. Having those expectations may have been too much for him, as I think it would be for anybody. But when you have a college career like he did, it’s hard not to have those kinds of expectations.

I still tear up probably once a year about Brandon Burlsworth.

I love they have kept him as a staple in the Arkansas program. I was a kid when he died and cried on the way to school when I saw on the news he passed. I was shook.

His problems were not really related to who drafted him. He didn't work hard before he was arrested, and admitted as much.

Whenever this question is presented I immediately think of Bill Walton who battled injuries for most of his professional career. The game film of his performance in the '73 NC game against Memphis (41 pts. 21-22) is not so much a game film, but a masterclass on how to play the center position.

As for Len Bias, he's gotten more mileage from his untimely death than James Dean.
