I love that this game has returned.
I would watch the games in Ruston as a kid and they always seemed like the biggest game of the year. NLU was a powerhouse under Collins and he was hated by Tech fans. Super intense games and NLU fans always packed the stands next to where my parents had seats. Good times.

Metallica was formed in 1981. The last time Tech lost to that school in Monroe was 1987. I was there & I will never forget it.
We have to win this game by at least 30. They are 0-5, the worst D-1 team in the country, & are coming off a bye week. This is their Super Bowl. They have nothing else to play for this year. No excuses. Let’s go win this game & move on to next week.

Pretty sure the last team to puss out was ULM in 2020. Blamed it on “Covid”.
We played 8 times since ULM last won in 1987. A total of 1 of those games was decided by less than 18 pts.
Congrats, you had one decent run against Tech with that dill-hole pat collins. He was so petty that we passed him over, he went to the southland conference officials, a conference that ULM was not affiliated with at the time, to deem tech’s best player ineligible because he took one snap, that no one remembers in garbage time his redshirt year. Pat was an assistant at tech at the time that snap was taken.
All that to say this: You’ve had 1 winning season since moving to FBS in 1994. That’s really the only stat necessary.
