Nebraska’s schedule was always going to be brutal this year. Moos said the tv partners had a bigger say in scheduling this year to maximize viewers on a short season. They just took Rutgers and Michigan State off the Husker schedule and reordered games.

Nebraska got hosed with the crossover games, OSU & PSU.

Iowa gets PSU and MSU.

F-ing Wisconsin gets that fraud in Michigan and Indiana. Alvarez set that up nice for Bucky.

I hope and pray Nebraska beats Ohio State week 1. That would be epic.

Purdue wasnt going to either, nor any other unranked team that's beaten them over the years. They lay an egg every now and then. Doubt it happens.

Michigan's schedule looks tough

Minnesota and Wiscy schedules seem easy with toughest games against each other and Michigan

Urban laid an egg every year of his career. Just part of his MO for whatever reason. Almost always won the big ones but would drop a turd to Ole Miss or iowa or Purdue etc.

No fans this year will probably make the talent difference shine more I would think

Dude the OSU-Iowa game in '17 wasn't a turd, it was a dismantling. When did OSU lose to Ole Miss?

yup. idk what to make of that. no margin of error that's for certain

Don’t know what to make of it? Nebraska is the reason there is even a season in the Big 10. They raised so much heck about fake fear of myocarditis that the Big 10 finally had to capitulate with all other relevant conferences playing. Big 10 gave a big SCREW YOU to Nebraska.

Y’all make those stupid comments acting like the top SEC teams schedule four nonconference games against FCS schools.

Lsu best Texas last yea and had them scheduled this year.
Auburn beat Oregon last year and kept them out of the playoffs.

I’ll just be glad when the SEC and Big10 get started, because these slate of games this weekend and last weekend are garbage.

When Miami-Louisville is the marquee game of the day you know it’s a pretty bad slate.

Urban lost to Ole Miss in 2008 when he was at Florida. His teams always did seem to lay an egg occasionally when they were huge favorites, but he always, always had them ready to go when they were an underdog or when they were playing a rivalry game.

Nebraska AD not pleased with schedule:

LINK

quote:

When Moos read the opening four games of NU’s schedule — at Ohio State, Wisconsin, at Northwestern, and Penn State — he chuckled at its difficulty. “I think a little more thought could have been put into pieces of this, and it wasn’t,” Moos said. “I don’t believe there’d be Big Ten football without Nebraska’s persistence in the whole process, all the way back to voluntary workouts. I harped on that until we got it.”

“For obvious reasons, I was hoping we could dissemble the schedule because of unique circumstances and rebuild it to be fair for each school in the conference,” Moos said. “I was outspoken on that, to the point where they heard it from me every day. The rationale was there, I didn’t think we needed to follow it. Nebraska is playing five AP preseason top 25 teams. Ohio State’s playing two.

“I’m sure my friend (and Ohio State Athletic Director) Gene Smith is smiling today. His friend Bill Moos is not. I’ve got a good football team with a great football coach that deserves a break here or there to start getting back on track to being a contender in the Big Ten West.”
