Not like it would ever happen, it would just be interesting to see. Just like BR will never get a Top Golf, but it sure is cool to imagine having one.

I don't see Arkansas leaving for the B12 anytime soon, frankly with our program rebuilding we need the yearly automatic win against LSU to boost our record.

Houston is an old SWC school, they'd be a vaguely decent fit and while Memphis has never been a football powerhouse it would add a big viewing market and a traditionally strong basketball program to the mix.

No it isn't. Memphis was a top 5 CFB market AGAIN this season.

U. of Memphis football controls 5% of that market.

They should throw everything they have at BYU. Would be a great pickup.

Nice troll. Now enjoy the facts....37-21-2 LSU leading the series. Win 16 more in a row and come talk to us. Until then...who is your daddy! Maybe we should see if we can swap you out for Houston.

The College Playoff should make it a requirement for all teams to be part of a conference. If they did that BYU and Notre Dame would be begging to be in the BIG XII.

BYU would want in no doubt but Notre Dame?

Notre Dame would sooner join the SEC than the Big 12.

U of H is talking to the Big 12 about joining
UofH, IMO, brings absolutely nothing to the Big 12. They already have UT, TT, TCU and Baylor from Texas. They need a bigger footprint outside the state. Why not bring back SMU while they're at it?

Memphis is a much better option than Houston, goodness they bring zilch to the table. No fan base nothing. Memphis actually has fans.

That's a decent sized minority but they don't seem to have made enriching the athletic programs of BYU a priority. Neither does Salt Lake seem to be a location where college football viewership is particularly high - correct me if I'm wrong on this but I looked and saw places like Memphis - but not SLC

Well, BYU more than doubles Memphis attendance numbers. I'm not sure how well their games are viewed but they certainly have far more national appeal than Memphis. BYU was actually a NC in the past 30 years.

Yep. Notre dame is just biding their time until they are forced to join a conference. They've already made their decision based on their alignment so far with the ACC

Can you show anything that supports this RE: TV viewership? I'm curious

The won a NC thing isn't very convincing to me - programs like Colorado have also won NCs over that time frame and they are a terrible program
