Eli. 2>1
So by this logic...Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer are better than Dan Marino...

Ahh yes 2 picks… Of course you conveniently forgot to mention he also threw for 462 yards and 4 TDs also

Brees was a system qb. He was mid with the chargers and they got rid of him. No league mvp either for a stat sheet stuffer like Brees is proof of this

Tell yourself 20 years ago that a QB would lead the Saints - the team win a single playoff win in franchise history - to a Super Bowl.
Think about how insane that thought would've been. There's your answer. It's not a knock on Eli at all.

Eli

System QB? Did you watch Denver's offense last night?

Eli wouldn't have won his second if the Saints didn't get screwed over by Vernon Davis and the 49ers

While we are at it, let's throw in Jim Plunkett, Jeff Hostetler and Doug Williams are also better than Marino,....and Fran Tarkenton, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts and Philip Rivers.
So 5 QB's with a combined 4 Pro Bowl selections are better than the 6 QB's with a combined 46 Pro Bowl selections and 4 of whom were NFL MVP's?

Sean Payton’s offenses have been shite without brees
Pretty much
We have a strong sample size of both without each other. One was still throwing 40+ TDs and 5000+ yards. The other sucked sweaty donkey taint.

It's Brees and it isn't even close.

Since the question is career, not who was the better player, Eli had the better career.
You want to say Brees is easily the better player, you'll get no serious argument-- but that isn't what the question is.

I just assumed the OP was Brees vs Manning.... And by manning I thought Peyton.
Eli isn't in this discussion

Kevin Faulk or Walter Payton. If SB victories are going to be your standard.

Currently?
Eli - the Manningcast is far better than Drew’s attempt to be in the broadcast booth.

I mean this is objectively false. Brees had a substantially better career.
