Besides Lawrence Taylor???
Taylor on Defense and Rice on Offense
My Opinion
LT - Revolutionized the sport
Woodson CB
Reed S
Lewis ILB
White Lineman

Hard to argue against LT, but Reggie White was one of the baddest men on the planet. Most unblockable DT I've ever seen.

Jack Ham, Ronnie Lott, Seau, Woodson, Butkus, Mean Joe Greene, Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, Ed Reed, Zach Thomas, Jack Youngblood, Chuck Bednarik, Deion Sanders.
Thank God Zach got some mention. He was every bit the LB Ray was without elbowing his way to every microphone he saw. But the easily impressed fanboys will be on here with the down votes. His hit against Jerome Bettis is an all-time collision.

Not that I think J.J. Watt is, definitively, the best there has been, but I don't think there is any reason for him not to be in the discussion. Lawrence Taylor is the only other player in NFL history with 3x DPOY awards.

Kuechly is better than both of them

Derrick Thomas was unreal. Dude averaged 12.5 sacks over 10 years.

Rod Woodson. One of few DB's equally good against the run as well as the pass, could blitz with the best of them, great corner AND safety, most complete all around defensive player.

Basically the successor to Ronnie Lott, the OG for that, The Godfather and this is not to be interpreted as a slight to Rod Woodson just Ronnie came first and set that standard, it was scary how good he was and he was a phenomenal fundamental football player who was tough as hell. Ronnie Lott’s timing on hits and creating turnovers was completely legendary.

Jimmy Johnson loved Zach Thomas.
5x 1st team All-Pro.
Singletary made 8; Seau made 8; LT made 8; Lewis 7, Derrick Brooks made 5; Urlacher made 4; Joey Porter 2.
Zach Thomas is in the discussion of a Top 5 linebacker of the last 30 years.

Kuechly wasn’t even the best this year. Wagner was.

Like Reggie White, Howie Long could play inside or outside. And how about Joe Klecko? Pro-Bowler as a 3-4 NT, and a 4-3 DT and DE.
