Don’t know if this was discussed in the in-game-thread last night, but I had no idea this happened.

How does Baker think this is OK when he got pissed off at the Jayhawks for doing the same thing to him when he was with the Sooners?

This is probably the first time I’ve ever 100% agreed with Richard Sherman:
quote:

"What's amazing, and annoying, was him not shaking hands at the beginning," Sherman said. "That's some college s---. It's ridiculous. We're all trying to get psyched up, but shaking hands with your opponent -- that's NFL etiquette. And when you pull bush league stuff, that's disrespectful to the game. And believe me, that's gonna get us fired up."

Baker is kind of an idiot. Nothing surprising here.

His actions and sound bites continue to put a target on his back, and he continues to be unable to back it up.

He needs to remember that this isnt college. Everyone in the NFL is supposed to have a mutual respect for one another. They are all professionals and you never know who might end up on your team one day.

Jimmy G made Baker look like a fat ugly slob in pregame warmups.

Baker is damn near worse than Manziel in terms of play and attitude on/off the field. He's the new age of QBs who had everything given to him, but once he's out of his comfort zone, he loses sight of everything.

Would be absolutely hilarious if he's benched at any point in the season.

I want to like Baker, but damn he makes it difficult. Good thing he kinda sucks, and fans won't have to concern themselves with him for many years to come.

Why do you want to like him? He seems to be an attention whore

Yup. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt, since he was the “scrappy, underdog turned Heisman winning number one pick”. But there’s a difference between being gritty and having a little bit of a chip on your shoulder and being a douche.

I’m thinking he’s probably just a douche.

Here’s more from Sherman. He’s spot on
quote:

"Respect the game," Sherman said, referencing Mayfield's pregame behavior. "You can have rivals, but pay your respect in that moment -- especially when you're young.

"He hasn't earned anything in this league. How many games has he won? He's acting like he was the MVP last year. If (Patrick) Mahomes did that, it would be one thing. But he would never do that, because he has too much respect for the game.

"And when you see a guy who doesn't? You humble him every chance you get. Because eventually, he will have respect for the league -- or he'll be out of it."

Sherman passed by Baker, Baker could have appeared to be looking another way at that split moment. Child shite.
