Good. SEC should do that same and say any team using them will have to forfeit every conference game they play. Make any school try to sue to get them if they just can't help themselves.

I still would think any court would side with the class of 2022 guys, considering the 5/5 ruling came out well after they had to declare

The 5/5 rule is the reason these judges are doing this for 2022 players. This likely can't happen in future years.
They're not saying "you can come back even if you go pro" in a vacuum. They're saying "since the rule changed and you decided to go pro before it changed, you have a the opportunity to come back"

They should focus on not having their institutions involved in and covering up on child rape. Seems like that should come first before making up a rule on the fly.

Do tell: did Michigan not just get caught filming teams and stealing playbooks, did they not just have an AD fired for knowing about their head coach putting a side piece on the payroll. Did Michigan state not have a dr running around for years sexually abusing kids? Did pedo state not have a dc taking kids in the shower? Did Joe pedo actually not know or did he ignore it because he was ok with it?

Conferences have no power on any of this when it comes to the big schools like Ohio St., Michigan, Texas, Alabama, UGA, LSU, etc. Conferences need those brands more than they need the conferences.

Why not let the 2021 guys who played 4 years in 4 play as well? How about the 2020 guys too? Any 2015 guys available too?
If the ruling came out after they declared, then tough shite. The 5/5 should only be for players next year, not this year. When new rules come out they aren't retroactively applied to situations in the past. What's happening is stupid, and i say that as someone who loves LSU, but this is stupid and i don't like it.
College sports is getting harder and harder to enjoy, at least for this guy. Just b/c you can find some stupid arse loophole around a situation you know isn't right, doesn't mean you should do it. Scumbag lawyers/judges have been killing this country with their greed. They are the source behind so much stupidity that we have in the world now.
