I could see them also going after Flaherty. Him and Fried were HS teammates.
Not sure they're trading for a guy who has thrown at Acuna a few times and is kind of a piece of shite.

Yeah, I hate that asshat. No thanks.

These guys are pros and don’t worry about stuff like that like fans do. Years ago back when the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants had all those brawls and beanball wars, Sal Maglie who used to throw at Jackie Robinson’s head all the time as a Giant ended up with the Dodgers, and Jackie was the first one who greeted him and shook his hand at the clubhouse door.

Maybe.
But I'm not prone to blame Flaherty on that, that was all on that POS Schildt, he was following orders IMO.

I find it hard to believe the Braves would have ever considered bringing in Jose Urena under any circumstances. Kind of the same deal with Flaherty.

Now he is a POS.

Maybe. But again, these are pros, their priority is to find players who they think can help them beat people. If they think someone like Urena or Flaherty can help them beat people, they ain’t gonna worry about what happened in the past.

Will they do anything meaningful before the deadline?

Really hope we can offload those awful Harris and Strider contracts.

Trade is still pending. Scherzer has to approve it.

Was listening to the Fox post-game of the Tigers/Marlins on FS1 and they reported that Rosenthal has said it was now a done deal that he will waive the no-trade clause. Just repeating what they said.

Why on earth would you want a washed starter with a ERA over 5?

Why stop there? Let’s go bring back Teheran and Keuchel while we’re at it
