Are you going to shut the frick up anytime soon, or keep saying you shouldn't have said anything about it 75 more times?

Chuck and Chernoff are usually pretty level-headed with baseball talk in between the fart sound effects and spliced together sentences that Hoyt is doing.

Hoyt is a fricking reprobate.

I don't even listen to Buck. And I love Buck, but John(Kincade) carried the two of them for 20 years. I miss John.

I listen to Steak and Sandra(Rusty Mansell on Wednesdays and Drew Butler in Thursdays) on 929 during that time slot.

This is the least surprising thing I’ve read on the internet today, which includes the post where the guy in the game thread wants Hot Carl to fellate him

Eh.

It's surprisingly a good show.

But you do you.

That show Steak and Sandra had with Brian Finneran was horrible.
I don't understand why 680 won't do Buck Belue + Steve West show.

Sandra doesn't do it for me. I do like Steak though. He gets shite on but he's really good at what he does.

And when Rusty is on there on Wednesdays it's a great listen.

Only good thing Steak has ever done was the Steve Gleason skit.

He also started the Camp Twin Lakes telethon that continues to this day.

And the Gleason skit was all Celini's idea. Steak was definitely in on it, but that was all Nick.

Steak is a mental midget and horrible at his job. Sandra’s ugly arse isn’t far behind

Atlanta Braves Trade Deadline

WHy would the Angels laugh?

That's 2 young, potential starting pitchers.

Ozuna can still hit a little bit and Grissom is interesting with potential. Throw in a descent AA prospect and that Angels are getting waaay more than a compensatory draft pick.

They'd laugh because they will get offers that blow that out of the water. The starting point for Ohtani would probably look more like this:

Elder
Soroka
AJSS
Grissom
Owen Murphy

I don't think this gets it done

While I agree I don’t think that would get it done for Othani, I don’t think it will be as big of a haul the angels get in return for him as many think it will. We have seen time and again that some of these players, regardless of how great they are, don’t bring back as much in return as many are expecting. Simply bc it’s a trade for a 2-3 month rental of a guy.

Most of the time when these trades are revisited years later, it seems the return teams get for trading away their superstars is made up of busts or players that never really turn out to be anything

They would not get as much as the nationals got for Soto, but they will get more than any other rental has gotten in recent memory

Either way its not happening

He may not go to Atlanta.

But the odds are higher than him going to the dodgers

When was the last time the Braves, under AA, went out and grabbed a big name at the trade deadline?

He probably hasn’t. But this is a unique situation. The best team in baseball with a great chance of winning the World Series has been riddled with pitching injuries all season, and it’s starting to catch up to them and their weaknesses have been exposed. This may be the best chance to win another one, and he may go all in to give them the best chance to do it. He shouldn’t be reckless and he may not get a big name, but he can’t let this opportunity slip away.

If San Diego really is selling, try to get Snell and Hader in one deal. The problem is the Braves don't have many trade chips for a team looking for guys who will be ready to contribute soon. I'd make the following offer:

Elder
AJSS
Grissom
Ian Anderson

If they say no, add Soroka to it. I think he might be a change of scenery candidate at this point.

SD is gonna wait until the very last minute before they make a decision.

But I agree w/you. I'm not giving up Elder, though.

I could see them also going after Flaherty. Him and Fried were HS teammates.
