Ronnie hits lead off and doesn’t have a hit this series, but still has 45 himself. And they had a graphic about Ozuna being top 8(?) in the NL since May 1st. Think I heard Glavine say he has 28 of his 30 since then. Decent 1-9 we’re running out there every day.

0-for-6 day with 2 K and 6 runners stranded for Riley.

Only Braves player without a hit.

Will Harris pass Riley in OPS this upcoming week?

Of our two highest paid players, one is last in OPS and the other is last in BA.

Olson had an excellent series and has an .850 OPS and is second in the league in RBIs.

Sure, but he still leads the league in K. He should be better for what he is being paid. Hopefully this performance after getting moved down in the lineup is a sign of things to come. But he needs to show he can be more consistent. As you know, his biggest problem is that he plays like a man on fire for 2 weeks and then goes ice cold for a month.

20 over .500, pretty solid and we're not even halfway.

He is nowhere near as bad as Riley has been. On pace for 3 WAR, which is fine for $20M.

Riley is a DH playing 3rd who is OPSing .750. Just don’t think they should be lumped together performance wise this season.

Never said he was. He still hasn't lived up to the contract we gave him.

Complaining about the Olson contract is a bad take.

Thanks

Anyway, our run differential is up to +100 on the season. The next best in the NL is the Dodgers at +46.

Olson is on pace for 3.2 WAR

On pace for 45 home runs, 115 RBI, 115 runs scored and an .850 OPS.

Strikes out a lot but hard to complain about that for me for $21M a year.

Last among all qualifying 3B in OAA, UZR, UZR/150, RAA and errors (if you’re still into that)

I watch him every night, just as I’m sure you do, and yes he makes a nice play every now and then. But there’s a massive gap between him and the top guys. His defense has regressed badly without the shift.

His range is non existent and this year he has been making errors too.

He’s obviously not going anywhere but it’s a big concern over the next decade.

I had the same discussion with Broski earlier in the year, it's not worth bothering with logic in discussions with him about Olson. Broski is stuck in some imaginary world where players who make 20+ mil need to be 4-5 WAR players to be worth their contracts.

I'd rather we had the .260 batting average version of Olson of course, but he still is well worth his contract right now.

Anyway, nice series sweep and damn impressive that Harris has gotten his OPS over .700 so fast.

Holy shite, you're the one who got mad at me when I said Olson should be moved down in the order.

...and look what happened.

Olson has been steadily trending downward after he opened the season like a man possessed. Again, hopefully this move down in the order does a lot of good for him, but you people are insane if you think he was doing a good job hitting behind Acuna.
