quote:

Holmes will make his second career start in Colorado and third overall against the Rockies. In his ?two other outings against them, he ?is 0-1 with a 5.56 ?ERA but was hit hard in his lone appearance at Coors Field. Holmes allowed five runs on six hits in five innings on Aug. 9, 2024. He didn't get a decision in the 6-5 loss.

also appears Rockies aren't the same Rockies that the Braves have bullied at Coors last 8 seasons or so too - I think they just took 2/3 at Cincinnati who's having one of their best starts in 2 decades and a record not far off Atlanta's pace -

The number of good hitting teams that stroll into Coors Game 1 thinking all they need to do to launch the ball is make contact is not small

Series bodes well but not a good start

Ugh I miss Dubie. Winner player, can be frustrating at the plate at times but he just knows how to put the bat on the ball

This team just doesn’t quit. We may not pull this out given our bullpen, but love the fight! Even Holmes gutting out 5 IP after giving up a 5 spot in the 1st.
