No. You take Charlie if he wants to return. He’s a good value.

I appreciate Charlie but I wouldn't call $20 million for a back of the rotation guy on the wrong side of 40 a "good value".

On the other hand our pitching fortunes went from good to bad to desperate this year, so there's that.

Ohtani or we riot

I doubt AA would pay his asking price (probably $50-$65 mill/year) when all he can do next year is DH.

Yeah I think all the options are picked up except McHugh and Hand.

Who wouldn’t want Ohtani, but we all know he’s not realistic and frankly I don’t think that’s what this team is missing. The lineup broke records this year but we don’t have a stone cold killer and you need that in October. Riley may be the closest to that we have but the Phillies have 3 or 4 of them.

I only want Johnson and Jimenez from that list.

I really liked what I saw out of Jimenez. For a while there in the second half, I thought they should have used Iglesias as a set up man and Jimenez as the closer.

We really need a true young shut down closer and not retreads like Jansen and Iglesias. Philly basically had 3 closers better than what we had. We need that.

Not going to get his production for 9 mill on the open market.

Grissom is much cheaper. Don’t care that he’s not a lefty.

Correct. You use them as a utility guy.

Biggest thing we need to address is bullpen. We need to upgrade at closer and just go get guys who throw hard and in the zone.

We had guys this season who threw hard and guys who threw in the zone, but we didn’t have anyone that did both. MatzeK hopefully will help with that, but I’m not sure you can bank on him after basically having 2 years off.

Yeah, definitely need a RH power arm, preferably two. Not sure I see them paying/trading for a high $ closer, especially with how good Iglesias has been and how much he’s locked in for the next 2 years.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t super aggressive from the left side with Minter, Lee and Matzek penciled in.

You don't trade Arcia on that deal, but while he made the All Star team this year, I think we all know that was an anomaly.

His role on a championship team should be as a UI. We need better range at short. Unfortunately, that's not available on the market this offseason and our farm has zero position player talent to speak of at the moment.

For better or for worse, Arcia will be our SS next year.

I don’t think anybody knows if Ohtani is a stone cold killer in the playoffs or not just yet. He very well may be. Same can be said for war champion Mike trout too. We just have no idea how they would handle the postseason. I sure wish we would make a run at ohtani anyway

Sign Sonny Gray to a 3 year deal.
Sign Trevor Bauer to a 1 year deal.
Profit.

If you really want to get frisky, trade for Juan Soto.
