Feels like

Pick up Charlie's option - lock
Decline Rosario - lock
Decline McHugh - maybe
Pick up Yates - likely
Decline Hand - likely

If we sign any FA here, would be minors deals

Probably not getting Ohtani but when AA signs Blake Snell and Josh Hader, it will lesson the sting a little.

I only want Johnson and Jimenez from that list. Everyone else can kick rocks.

I think Charlie retires. He sounded like someone who was near the end in interviews all season and he had already been resigned by this point in the last two years. I would love to go after Sonny Gray to replace him. Still need a true #1 starter, but Gray could be a fantastic #3.

I'd also seriously consider trading Max. I really like him and think he's a great pitcher, but his blister problems aren't going to just go away and that is enough for me to hesitate at offering him an extension. Pitching in the Atlanta humidity all summer does not help with that problem, either.

I think an upgrade at short is an obvious move. Arcia can be a good utility guy (although I'd like Lopez a whole lot more in that role), but he embarrassed himself in the two games in Philly in that series.

This team also needs to find a hardass or two who won't wilt at or be intimidated by the first sign of adversity like what we all just watched. There isn't an analytic number to measure this so I'm sure some people will laugh it off, but the Phillies sensed fear and intimidation and went for the throat. The Braves don't have that in them right now. Can we bring Joc back?

I’m sure Yates had some good moments but I swear I missed them.

And for $5.8 million, oh hell no.

Arcia is not an everyday SS for a playoff team but not sure who we could realistically go get and Grissom is not the answer there. My guess is we do nothing there.

Grissom will be interesting. Think he’s not a SS and they know that. 2nd and 3rd and locked down for awhile. Moving him to a primary LFer with IF capability makes sense to me.

Assuming Morton comes back, he needs to slide down to the 4 slot and we need to go find a playoff starter. Counting on age 40 Morton to be a playoff starter is not wise. Assuming he retires, we must go get somebody.

Bullpen needs to be solidified. Nutsack will be back but who knows how that will go. Really need a couple of high velocity guys back in my opinion.

Daysbel Hernandez can be a top three reliever for the Braves. Get Dylan Lee back and the pen starts taking shape.

Braves probably will need to come up with two starters.

Can Grissom become an everyday SS? OF?

If he doesn’t get a shot in LF, they just don’t want him anymore.

I agree on all accounts. But even if Morton doesn’t retire, I say let him walk.

No. You take Charlie if he wants to return. He’s a good value. Still has great stuff and is a great teammate.

The value of Grissom’s bat is tied to his ability to play Short on a daily basis. If they have given up any hope of that, then he is essentially a bat-first utility guy who would be borderline as a regular in LF or DH.

At that point, I think you’re better off moving him in a deal for pitching help….

Considering the Braves are not “free spenders”, it’s tough to imagine allocating $20 million a year to a fourth starter who you don’t see helping you in the playoffs.

On the other hand, considering that most of the other options on the table will want a multi-year commitment, maybe it’s a compromise they make again.

Would be a good fit but he will command 3/75 if we are optimistic. Guessing he gets over 100M guaranteed. We are not doing that

Why would this be a lock? Have you seen the FA alternatives?

I would think it’s much more likely than not it’s exercised.

Ill be shocked if rosario's option isn't picked up. Not going to get his production for 9 mill on the open market.
I expect yates to be back. Not sure if it's at that price, but I think he will be back.
Charlie, well that decision is up to Charlie.
