I always loved when Reali would throw the balled-up paper at the camera.
Couldn’t hit shite.
Couldn’t hit shite.

I saw on the guide the other day that Around the Horn was on and I was surprised to see that it was still on the air. I had no idea it was still going. Same thing with PTI.

I stumbled upon Around the Horn a couple of years ago and saw how bad Woody Page looked. Really made me feel bad.
They have it on at the gym when I'm up there and for about the last 3-4 years, I was convinced ESPN was doing a Weekend at Bernie's deal with Bob Ryan every time I saw him on there. Either that or it was the ghost of Bob with how pale he was

eta-and before SFP comes in with his canned ackshually response, I’m not saying it was the pinnacle of athletic performance, but it was the pinnacle of narrative and the nation being glued to something collectively outside of the super bowl. at least in my lifetime
It was also a nicer time when everyone didn’t feel the need to preface everything with “I hate espn and never watch it but I can’t believe what Stephen a smith said today while I was accidentally watching “

Agreed. A great show at its time.

Kevin Blackistone.
Actually, I always liked Texas Tim Cowlishaw.

Yep. I use to watch this show every day. Would even seek out the "Behind the Horn" clips on Facebook which would take place as they were getting ready for the show and just bsing. Reali turned out to be one of the better hosts on TV and always kept it moving.
Of couse Woody Paige and the blackboard are the GOAT.

They should have cancelled ATH after Max Kellerman left. Can't believe the show lasted for 15 years with Statboy hosting.

Agreed on 3 of the 4.
Mariotti is persona non grata after his domestic issues. Dude can get fricked.

end of an era... i remember watching the very 1st episode when it came out...

Had no idea this was still on. Of course, I rarely turn on ESPN except for live sporting events. Used to love this show around 05, 06, 07.

My sig quote is from woody Paige.

Had a good run. I used to watch it and PTI religiously a decade plus ago.

I remember after one episode where he actually did hit the camera and started to celebrate like he hit a shot on Dude Perfect.
The best part IMO was the feed switched to PTI a second or so after for the most hilarious abrupt cut. Still remember my dad cracking up.

Tony Reali is 46 years old. Damn. The former Pardon the Interruption intern is damn near 50.

Same.
I still have a soft spot for PTI. I still record it and watch it a few times a week. Skip it when they have guest host most of the time. The show takes all of 12 minutes to watch skipping the commercials. They don't talk as much as they used to.
I like Wilbon but he is just completely gone to living in the past now. He just constantly brings up retired players in every debate.
Tony: I think Shohei is the runaway MVP.
Michael: HE WOULDNT BE RUNAWAY MVP IF WILLIE MAYS WAS PLAYING. HE WOULDNT BE MVP IF HE WAS PLAYING AGAINST WILLIE MAYS!
Like wtf does Willie Mays have to do with the current MVP vote.
