As far as I'm concerned Galarraga was perfect for 28 batters.

there is no way to change it. this isnt an appeal situation. the ump is the final call.
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:54 pm to BilJ
dude called the runner safe on the last out....he was out by a step.
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:54 pm to Walt OReilly
They could call it an error and give him a no-hitter.

either way it's not the same. Doesn't get that excitement of making the last out and the celebration at that time of throwing a perfect game. Now it will seem kind of hollow.

As a former pitcher, and a baseball fricking fan, I would be serving 15-20 right now.
What a piece of shite.
What a piece of shite.

guy had a perfect game with 1 out left, the guy hit a grounder to 1st, pitcher covered 1st, was kind of close, the ump called the runner safe
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:55 pm to geauxlsu07
that is simply unbelievable. Joyce should never ump again after that.
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:55 pm to el tigre
Cabrera looked like he wanted to go strangle him. I kinda wish he would have. That ump should lose his job.
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:55 pm to BilJ
you will see it a million times on sportscenter
biggest blown call I have seen in years

I hope this does start the real call for instant replay and baseball. shite like that needs to be reviewable

I like the title of this thread now, btw. Kind of how I feel. Dude got straight up jobbed.
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:56 pm to Walt OReilly

I so agree with this! It was not even close! I am a Braves fan and I could give a shite about the Tigers but WTF, I am sick to my stomach for this guy! In the history of MLB there have been only 20 perfect games and this a-hole UMP just took this from him!
Posted on 6/2/10 at 7:57 pm to The Easter Bunny
looked to me the runner was actually pissed he was called safe...that or just shocked

bang bang or a split second late getting to the bag, call him out there
I am literally sick to my stomach
