Well to be honest, no other team contending for a playoff spot would be any better with Murray as QB.

Daniel Jones and Tommy Devito are not better for a WR simply because "they look downfield"

The Cardinals seem to be more of a running team this year. They don’t throw a lot of passes and McBride is a better option than anyone else on the Giants. It’s not a zero sum game MHJNabers/BTJ could all turn out to be good

Is Nabers getting more targets because he gets open, catches the ball, and is efficient, or is he getting more targets because the Cardinals don’t actually like their generational WR and don’t work hard enough to game plan to get him the ball?

Nabers has the most targets in the league. And he’s missed 2 games this season. If he’s getting that many targets because he was getting open, catching the ball, and efficient, he wouldn’t be 14th in yards and 54th in TDs.

MHJ isn’t even the most targeted pass catcher on the Cardinals. McBride has 20% more targets than him.

I’ve only watched 3-4 Cardinals games. I’m sure there are things he can be doing better but it seems like they also could being using him better. Seems similar to how JSN was being used last season for Seahawks in terms of there is not a ton a variety in what they are asking MHJ to run.

Maybe it’s a function of Jones, DeVito, et al. Maybe (oh, wow) it’s a combination of things both in and out of his control. How many drops does Nabers have this year?

You’re proving my point of my original reply in this thread. There’s context to any stat you look at.

A gap of 250 receiving yards is noticeable. Then you see that comes along with a gigantic targeting difference. But yet the guy with 54 less targets has 3 more TDs.

9. Tied for 2nd most.

Of course there is. However, I don’t think that there’s a strong argument against Harrison being a disappointment this year.

Larry Fitzgerald is arguably one of the Top 5 WRs to ever play the game.

Jerry Rice
Megatron
Randy Moss

These 4 are no doubt better, then you have a whole class of guys like coincidentally Marvin Harrison. Larry Fitzgerald was awesome at what he did, and his style allowed him to do it for a really long time. But what I said is at their best they aren’t the same. And I don’t know how you could argue that. Megatron and Randy Moss could change the game with one play at any time

If his name was Marvin Smith no one would know who he was.

I was on the sidelines for the Panthers game yesterday. He was a complete non-factor.

Seems a bit of an overreaction. He’s not having a bad year statistically but was given ridiculous expectations

He's closer to slant Boi Michael Thomas or Jarvis Landry than he is larry Fitzgerald.

People keep acting as if Fitz was slow, he was most definitely not.

This shouldn't be surprising to anyone that actually paid attention. MHj was a good player. He was just incredibly overrated and players like Nabers were better than him to anyone that was objective

This paragraph is gonna give a few Buckeye fans an anyurism

They went so hard in the paint for this guy

Another product of people over valuing Ohio State players.

I see him as a Larry Fitzgerald type. He’ll have a long career accumulate stats, but he’ll never be in the conversation for the best in the league

Well this is certainly a take

But the fourth pick in the draft needs to catch more than half his passes to justify the investment. That's atrocious.

Murray was always going to be limited by being 5'10, especially seeing downfield.

McBride having 0 touchdowns is a weird one though.

This is not surprising. He was overrated in college, overrated in the pros. Malik was robbed of the biletnikoff.
