I love them

Can't stand them, which sucks because they usually call some of the best games. Verne definitely seems like a Bama fanboy to me, but that could just be my purple and gold glasses. Gary never misses a chance to take a cheap shot at LSU, even in games they aren't playing in. A few years ago the Alabama - Auburn game was going to determine who won the west. About halfway through the first quarter, Gary points this out. "You know Verne, this is an important game for both teams. The winner will play (forgot the team) from the East in Atlanta for the SEC championship. So it will be either the Tide or the Tigers. You know, I bet there's another Tigers team that would love to be playing in that game. But instead they'llbe sitting home in Baton Rouge yet aanother year." frick you Gary, and yes I'm mad

I do have a favorite Verne moment though. One game, when they did the taste of the tailgate segment, can't remember the school but the featured item from the stadium was a 2 lb. vegan burger. Gary looked at it and asked "well where's the meat?" When informed it didn't have meat, it was a vegan burger, he looked at Gary and said, "well then what's the point? " I nearly peed the pants.

Well, you had me until this. Verne is a legend, but he's not the same, or even in the same ballpark as what he used to be. it will be fine when he retires.

Verne should retire. but we don't know who we would get instead.

I am fine with Danielson.

One of the worst

Clearly Verne isn't what he used to be

But he's still the best at the big call and he still has the voice. A diet Verne is better than most if not all play by plays

seeing his reactions in real time really makes you realize how untrained your eyes are for football

that motherfricker not only sees plays develop and comments insanely fast, but he also has a great memory to link it to previous plays setting up those plays

I like Verne.

I like jolly old people.

It's more interesting than some boring guy with his hair parted on the side trying his hardest to act very proper.

They're pretty good. Gary gives good analysis/commentary...Verne jizzes on himself after every deep pass or 20+ yd run. It works out.
