Are the Dolphins gonna finally get rid of Tua? I hope so he can go to a decent franchise.

Tua strikes me as the NFL’s Derrick Rose or Sidney Crosby. Great talent, when he can play.

And get who? Tua has his flaws, and realistically shouldn't be playing football at this point, but he fits that offense like a glove and I'd have to imagine the dead cap would be horrendous, much less the capital to go and get a better QB.

All poor Tua had in Miami was a top 3 RB room, top 3 WR room, and a top 5 TE room :/ As well as an offensive minded head coach that created an offense to mask all of his deficiencies and showcase the speed they have on the roster (Fastest offense in the NFL).

He’s very injury prone. He really needs a top 3 OL to be successful.

The Dolphins allowed the second least pressure% in the NFL, had the best sack to pressure rate in the NFL, and were blitzed the least in the NFL.

They need to worry about getting a more than capable back up qb.

Dolphins fan here. Blow the whole thing up. Grier and Capri Pants McDaniel need to go. Too soft and can't win in any cold weather.

Fangio was our DC last year...look what he did this year in Philly.

You’re right. All they had to do was beat the Jets with a backup and couldn’t do it.

Most decent franchises already have a #1 QB, others will want a guy who is going to play more than half a season due to injuries.

That’s scheme not talent… they need talented offensive lineman

These stats are a little disingenuous without the context of average time to throw. It’s a timing offense. From what I saw of them on redzone throughout the season it seemed like a lot of their passes were out of his hand within 2 seconds of receiving the snap.

...with a fricking loaded D-Line?

I could look like Buddy Ryan coaching their talent.

Wrong. The Jets game was meaningless after Denver beat Kansas City. If Tua had done better than 6-5 as the starter in the 11 games he wan't ruled out in 2024, then the game would have mattered. But then again, Tua would been on street clothes AGAIN for that game with a playoff berth on the line. The Dolphins have built an offensive roster around Tua and run offense that doesn't require him to take a lot of hits in the pocket and he still can't stay on the field.

And go where?

The Dolphins can’t cut him because they’d be eating $85M dead cap hit. And what other team is going to want to trade for him and take on that big of a salary for an injury prone QB with repeated concussion issues?

He’s gets the ball out as quickly as any QB in the league, by design.

He actually doesn’t need a great Oline.

LOL....Crosby has played in at least 75 (out of 82) regular season games 12 times in his career. He's played in 80 or more 7 of those 12 seasons including playing in ever single game at the age of 35 and 36 and he's played in 55 out of 57 this year. So he's missed 2 of the Penguins last 219 games in his late 30's. Tua is 26 and has missed 15 of the Dolphins last 70 games including the playoffs.

I feel like 80% of the NFL (or more) has a terrible OL according to stuff I read. It's like just about every team has problems on the line and ____(insert QB) needs a better line. Either people think way more OLs are bad than there really are or there aren't many good O-linemen in the NFL.
