Does he take a year off? Or is it possible we've seen the last of him as a head coach in the NFL?

Bill Belichick's only known interviews have been with the #Falcons. As of now, with two vacancies remaining, the legendary coach is without an obvious landing spot for 2024.

@RapSheet

The #Falcons were the only team to interview legendary coach Bill Belichick, and there are no known scheduled interviews. Potentially, Belichick could sit out the year and await an opportunity in 2025.

Remember when Bill Belichick was going to have his pick of interested teams to coach?

No one had done more to unravel a reputation than Bill Belichick. The four meandering years post-Brady, while also thinking Brady was cooked, has crushed his reputation. There were 7 openings + 3 contenders (DAL/PHI/BUF) who could’ve made an opening. They all passed on Bill.

I don’t think teams are wanting guys that demand full personnel control anymore, especially one that’s been so bad at it in recent years

Bill may have to bend on that if he wants to pass Shula up

People are so concerned that some team owners are racist and won't hire black coaches. This just shows they're just fricking stupid.

Nah, he’s old and people don’t want to deal with his weirdness. I’m guessing Jerrah looked around and thought it was just easier to stick with a yes man like McCarthy.

Belichick has been running his own show for the last 24 seasons. He's not going to start taking orders from a general manager. But people are going to look at his player personnel track record the last few years and are going to pass.

How many Super Bowls does Belichick win as a head coach without Tom Brady as his QB?

It's this. Bill the GM has completely tainted Bill the HC.

Belichick isn't going to just be a HC only. His GM abilities have gone to shite the last 5 years.

He'd be a good hire for somebody as a defensive consultant both with personnel and scheme.

I think he could work, but i think he's pushing for player personal power. which is what ended up getting him fired at the end.

He's been really bad as a GM in past 5ish years, and why would you allow him to do it at ur club?

They're teams that could win a Super Bowl next season with better-than-average coaching.

Look at what is available this year then look at what could be available next year (Buffalo, Philly, Dallas, Jets) would you rather coach a team with Desmond Ritter or Bryce Young at quarterback or a team with Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, or Aaron Rodgers at quarterback? He could be taking a stragetic bathroom break this off season.

A lot of teams don’t have great defensive and special teams coaches to run their offense like the Patriots. So it’s a tough fit.
