but online learning is incredibly useful and convenient for athletes bringing in lots of revenue for the university.

If by useful and convenient you mean it's easier for them to have other people do their school work sure.

Online classes are inferior in every single way when it comes to actually learning and understanding the material.

Here is what is worse: this policy ONLY applies to athletes! If you aren’t an athlete, you can take online classes.

This is the way it should be. Online classes are meant for working people who can't get to campus. Athletes don't have that excuse and should be required to show up to do their work.

The premise that these guys are there for an education is a charade in the first place.

I kind of like Michigan and wish they'd be good but as long as it keeps hailhail melting I'm okay with them continuing to suck.

Could be the difference between a top 10 class and a top 6/7 class. And that does matter.

You know? frick this board

This is an interesting topic that was being commented on most cfb pundits, including Feldman, Herbstreit, and Forde.

It’s why I noticed in in first place

And rivals mod has an article up saying it is a dealbreaker for 2-3 top 150 recruits/cycle

Was a huge thread on Reddit/cfb

Lol if you’re naive enough to think athletes are the ones utilizing online classes

Some tutors making $15 an hour are taking those classes.

According to the article, 3/4 of the QBs in the playoffs this year have been exclusively taking online classes

Yeah, because once you're an upperclassman you think about that type of stuff. Out of HS they don't give a shite.

When I was at LSU I took some classes online and some classes on campus. Some classes only have online sessions available. And generally a lot of professors post their powerpoints online anyway and often had online quizzes and homework. And for online classes there's still a professor assigned to it, and you can email them or meet them in their office if you have questions just like any other class.

This notion that online classes are somehow a joke compared to in class lectures is pretty outdated seeing as even the on campus classes end up being mostly online too.
