That's why I said, usually.

Some get apartments off, usually later.

But most schools have Football housing that is either on or slightly off campus, think walking a quarter mile.

They aren't living 25 miles away and working to have to do online classes.

Football players aren't commuter students. They have full rides.

Can a one and done basketball player just take easy elective classes for the 1.5 semesters they are on campus and be fine if they pass everything?

If most colleges are like mine was, you don't even technically "declare" a major until you've reached so many credit hours; for me, it was after my sophomore year. I doubt it's any different for an athlete.

It is amazing me to me that Michigan doesn't have online classes. Are they trying to make a statement or something?

This is the way things are going. Eventually, classes that have no need for physical classroom settings won't have them. Math, English, Physics. Why do you NEED a classroom for those anymore. Just figure out a way to cut down on the cheating, and it will work just fine.

And who cares how these college athletes are taking classes anyway? These guys--especially the ones taking crap like Sports Administration or whatever else the majority of these kids take simply because they have to declare a major--aren't in school for the degree anyway. They are there to play football.

The sooner we drop the charade that guys like Burrow, Hurts, Fields, etc. are in college for an education, the better. The vast majority of those players are not in college for the education.

Sorry it has such high standards for the college athlete.

maybe they really belong in D3 if they don’t want to compete
