Only opposing fans who are jealous and LSU fans who are soft think that the STTDB chant isn't awesome.
I've brought multiple friends who are non-LSU fans to games and been sitting by opposing fans who all think its pretty entertaining.

My understanding is that it actually goes all the way back to the Tastes Great, Less Filling days from Miller. The team sucked so the students made up their own version to entertain themselves.
There is generally a lot of back and forth between the different sections of the students, with Section O always catching much of the heat. If you're in Section O for that game it's awesome, if you're not then O sucks. During the 5th quarter it's been incorporated into Swingtown, with O responding accordingly.
