I miss the old knicks, they were so much fun to watch growing up. Van gundy hanging on legs. I will hate john starks the rest of my life for blowing game 7 and not getting those guys a ring.
by far my favorite team of all time. and the only era i truly followed the NBA.
Starks was the shite!
I probably still have an old Starks jersey somewhere.
their rivalry with the Bulls that eventually gave way to their blood fued pure hatred of the Heat was epic TV.

Knicks are an emberaasment totally classless and the NBA needs to force Dolan to sell the team.

Kevin Willis would be the NBA guy I wouldn't have wanted to fight. Big, strong, and I'm pretty sure he was proficient in martial arts.

I happened to be listening to espn radio last night and Freddy/Fitz (whoever the hell fitz is) was on. They had the son of a former GM on. Basically it sounded like Dolan has excluded Oakley from any sort of events where the old players were invited back. And Oakley is fairly vocal about just how bad the Knicks are since Dolan bought them.
ETA: Also, it seems like Charles bought tickets and they were right behind Dolan.

Oakley says as soon as Dolan noticed he was there he had security surround him and asked him to leave. He answered that he bought a ticket and wasn't doing anything wrong. Then it got physical once security put their hands on Oakley. But Oakley said "I swear on my mother I did not say a word to Dolan".

Always looked like he could frick somebody up. Also is Co-Captain of the All-Deltoid team with David Robinson.

The one reason I sort of believe him is because if he was being loud and yelling I would expect there to be video of it from the people around him. All I have seen is video from right after security approaches him.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wheres the video of him heckling Dolan?

I am guessing Dolan was aware that he was sitting behind him and told security to be ready to get him out. Once they heard the slightest thing they pounced.

perfect for the Dolan-Knicks

The PR statement kind of throws the icing on the cake as far as this being just bad by the Knicks/Dolan.

Phil Jackson will somehow blame Carmelo for this.

Can't wait for the TNT boys tonight. Especially Chuck

The "We hope he gets some help" part I can't get over. It's amazing and terrible at the same time. Basically insinuating he's an addict of some sort and under the influence. I wonder what member of Congress that PR guy used to work for.

This. There is more believable truths about Dolan and his petulance. Oakley has been blackballed by the Knicks because of his beef with Dolan, and now it's evolved into this. Nothing is going to be done to Dolan, and Oakley while partially justified in his reaction, will be made to look bad no matter what in this situation. Dolan, What does he care if people think he's a dick. He's rich and owns the knicks. There ain't shite that can be done to him.
