In all the shitty news we’re surrounded by these days, I don’t mind hearing about the guy who made it through having to be resuscitated on the field on MNF. And he seems like a halfway decent dude at that.

I said it Monday and I'll say it today, should have continued with the game.

Any time you have a teammate who either dies, or almost dies, it’s going to be a story.

A story sure, other teams with special shirts, painting the 3 on the 30 yard line because he’s #3 is a bit much, he is after all recovering.

Well, dipshit, this IS an LSU fan website. Maybe you should carry your arse to the Missouri fan site.

Same people that say this usually just can't quite figure out why things have gone to shite.

instead of the medical staff that really saved his life and (unlike God and prayer) would have been held accountable had they fricked up and he died on the field.
I've never in my life seen a much praise for a medical team as this team in this situation.

No clue what you're talking about.

This entire ordeal has been completely overblown.

I wish Americans had cared this much about Secoriea Turner, Channon Christian, and Christopher Newsom.

Medical staff has been covered online, news stations, radio, and newspapers extensively. They have become basically celebrities. Don’t just make stuff up bro

I’m told we should also be kissing Dan Orlovsky’s feet for being brave enough to say a prayer on live TV as well.

I mean, I’m not going to kiss his feet, but I’m shocked ESPN aired it and I guarantee you he got a talking to from the execs about it.

Prayer is useless. It’s what people do when there’s nothing else they can do. What’s that old saying? There are no atheists in fox holes? Well, tell me, if you’re on the scene of a medical emergency and have a choice between prayer or a phone call, what’s the believer going to do? They’re going to dial 911 on that damn phone. If this incident happens to a player at some rural high school practice, he’s DEAD. I don’t give a shite who prays for him.

Praying for you dude. On another note, Alex Smith's leg injury was just as big, probably bigger, but we didn't hear much of anything on it right after. Dude almost lost his leg, then almost died.

You’re the one who opened this thread and decided that you needed to reply 4 separate times within a span of 2 minutes. Go find an NBA thread to cry about

heroic or extraordinary. Those two words describe Peyton Hillis. Has any of the broadcast talked about what he did?

Excellent point.

Crazy for people to show empathy for someone who almost died… I know.
