Am I the only sports fan to never hear of Ronda Rousey prior to her last fight?

She's everywhere. Admittedly, I don't follow MMA or UFC but did she absolutely explode into the main stream within the last month or so out of nowhere or have I been living under a rock?
I'm not complaining mind you, she seems pretty great at her job and a likable person, but I just had no idea who she was until this fight and it seems like I'm alone on this.

She's been pretty huge in UFC for a while. I don't really follow UFC either, and I've been knowing about her for a year or two if not more. Just one of those things that got by you I guess.

The only reason most people know her is because Floyd Mayweather chooses to acknowledge her existence. If he didn't nobody would know who she was.

I'm with you! I had no idea who she was until some Marine asked her to their ball. I too don't follow MMA or UFC so I guess I've been living under the same rock.

She already has. There's a great story that's pretty well known about her beating the hell out of 2 pretty big dudes in a movie theater after they kept harassing her and her friend and then got physical with her. They tried to sue her when they realized she was an up and coming MMA fighter.
