T. Boone Pickens does
watch out ESPN
quote:
"If we don't get in the BCS [title game], if I have the power to do it, I'm going to have an investigation," Oklahoma State mega-booster T. Boone Pickens said after Saturday night's game. "After the way we handled OU tonight, I just can't imagine LSU playing Alabama twice. It looks like an SEC-closed system if that happens."
watch out ESPN

There is a precedent set already so you can not use that reasoning....Florida lost to unranked Ole Miss in 2008 at HOME! went on to win it all.

SIAP, not reading 4 pages
From a fricking gator fan at that!
2006 set the precedent for giving another team a shot, and UF proved that "the eyeball test" isn't that effective to the tune of 41-14. No one thought tOSU could be beaten, and Michigan played them them closest. 2006 Michigan = 2011 Bama The voters started the 5 year SEC run by giving UF a shot. Try to imagine if Michigan had gotten a do-over; I mean they had the best loss and they played tOSU close!?!

Don't give me this "Alabama had their chance bullshite" Yeah, they had their chance and lost in OT by 3 to the number one team in the land.

My problem with the rematch possibility is the logic all the talking heads have used to justify it.
Every other year these same people say best resume and body of work. this year all i've heard is give me the 2 best teams.
Clearly Bama and LSU right? OK. If OSU's kicker makes that kick that went over the upright and they beat Iowa State, who are the 2 best teams? Is it still clearly Bama and LSU? what would have then changed? Bama wouldn't even be in the discussion with an undefeated OSU, although they still would beat them in the eyeball test and be "clearly the better team".
As much as you wanna just use the eyeball test, the only way to be fair and objective to all teams in consideration is to look at their whole body of work, but everyone who works for ESPN seems to have skipped about 5 steps this year when reaching their conclusions.

Everyone likes to point out who teams like Boise St and TCU beat, but then when talking about the big boys that just seams to go out the window and talk about who you lost too.

if gibson and maze catch the ball, bama wins by 14..better yet..if eric reid doesnt intercept, bama by 21+
OH WAIT..
Mark barron INT return, somebody not getting called for the flag..sets up at the 5..bama wins by 4 touchdowns..
see how easy that is??

If Randle catches the pass in the endzone than LSU wins in regulation. If Lee doesn't suck against Bama we win by 14+.

Alabama can't play themselves, guess what that does? Hurts their SOS.
If Alabama is worried about SOS, why schedule an FCS school in Georgia Southern?

how soon you forget that they were beaten by an unranked Iowa St.

Try harder.

i didn't take my medicine this morning... i am delusional... most people definitely want to watch OSU throw 4 picks and not be able to run... we want to watch Jefferson kick someone in the face and then throw a TD to randle on that BS secondary of OSU. I def want to watch a game that will be similar to the SECCG and Bedlam. I want to wait 40 days for that... you are ignorant if you think everyone wants to watch that shite..
Yes you are delusional.
Unlike the LSU Bama matchup, we have no idea what will happen. You can keep making up how you think the game will turn out, but we at least we haven't already seen it.
As I said, I know Bama deserves to be in the game, but I really don't want to watch it, and I really don't think I am in the national minority.
