Who was this guard and what does he say happened?

You picked your side of the story, GOOD FOR U!, but do you know that the admin told Leach to signed an apology letter??? on the letter, it stated that Leach can be fired at any time..so Leach said "no" so they fired him.

Piss off dickhead.

Yes I do know that they asked him to sign an apology letter. To whom? Was a shrewd move on his part not to sign. Would have admitted wrongdoing and set him up for a lawsuit from James' family. I have never stated that this was the sole reason for Leach getting canned. He was just a dumbass and made it much easier to fire him. Deep down Leach knew he was never going to coach there again. He was just positioning for litigation in the future. Which has nothing to with my main point that his treatment of this player and situation was moronic and to defend an idiot so vehemently makes you more idiotic.

Who pays the legal fees? This is a state run institution. Leach is an individual now. He will run out of cash before the state will. Add to it any alumni or boosters who kick in to pay these fees. I don't disagree that over time they may settle. But his decision to discipline this player has cost him big time both financially and professionally.

Leach should have just shot him in the head, and thrown him in a ditch. 2 problems solved: 1.James no longer will suffer from concussion symptoms 2. The world will be free from another primadonna DoucheBag.

OK poor word choice. Whatever non-training room he was placed in. Leach had two choices. Send the kid home or send him with the trainers. Anything but what he did. That is why he is stuck and out of a job.... I know he is out of a job for other reasons with Texas Tech. But this action by Leach made it easier for them.

1. as opposed to the media room Leach's lawyer showed the press? I didn't see any video of James in that room. Advantage James 2. Why would he be upset, or have unusual behavior? He was diagnosed with a concussion, not down syndrome. Why was he sneak? I would guess he told his parents that Leach was requiring him to stay in an electrical closet, they didn't believe him, so he made a video on his cellphone 3. Why only 16 seconds of video? Its a cellphone, not a camcorder. Admittedly, there was a guard posted outside the door. He turned the lights on long enough to get some video.

1. How can Adam has the advantage? The video is either legit or not. We saw two different videos, one from Adam and another one from Leach's lawyer, we cannot assume who is telling the truth or not.
2. Look if you were locked in a dark room with a cell phone, the 1st thing you would do since you wanted to record a video..is to find a light switch right? I would be freaking sweating or nervous if i cant find the light switch. If you see how big the room was...you would be nervous because in ur mind, you cant find the light switch
3. If he is freaking rich enough to hired his own doctor, im pretty sure he can buy a cellphone that can record more than 16 seconds. My Blackjack I that I have for 3 years could record for +3 minutes

There's something about Texas. Of course I was joking, before anyone RA's. I don't know maybe I do need a timeout

look at it this way, if he signs the apology letter...it's not going to help with his future careers in coaching because it proves that he did
something wrong. Just imagine if your got into a car accident when it was kinda of your fault (like you was on the phone), but the other driver wanted you to sign a confession letter that will go against you in the court..would you sign the damn letter? (If you cant answer this then frick off)

Answer. No. I would not sign any letter. I don't see what it has to do with my main point that Leach screwed up. IS James a turd? Probably. Was Leach a dumbass who let his ego frick him in the pooter? Absolutely.

video evidence makes a powerful statement. I see James' in an electrical closet, but Leach's lawyer shows me an empty media room

This was probably an ongoing PUNISHMENT for having a CONCUSSION. Sticking him in the electrical closet, basically trying to make his life as hard as possible to force him to return to the field. James told his parents, they probably couldn't believe Leach was treating their son or a player that way, and asked for proof

Maybe he was tying to be as discreet as possible about making the video. If Leach found out, he might have faced more punishment

look, its a win win solution for the admins..they asked him to sign a letter, he's fired no matter what. If Leach signs the letter, they'll fired him later on without cause and save $$$. Since he didnt sign the letter, they said that Leach didnt want to work it out. So it's a win win for the admins

you're making like it Leach is out there to kill the kid
1. Yes "video evidence makes a powerful statement"...but is the video legit? Jame's video doesnt have a timeline so it cant be used in court since he can shoot it at any time.
2. So his parents asked for a proof right? So it happened more than once? we dont know. All I know that he was supposedly "video" the event when it happened because he said that he cant turn on the light for that long..meaning there was trainers outside..supposedly of course...so you didnt noticed that he was calm and shiet?
3. You're just repeating yourself

I hate to jump in with more law-related comments, but I don't want anyone to be misinformed on this issue.

1. When a person sues on a contract in Texas, if he wins, he gets his attorney's fees paid by the loser unless the contract says otherwise.
2. Normally, when you have cases like this one, the lawyer takes the case on a contingent fee. That means the lawyer getrs a percentage of the reocovery, and the client doesn't have to pay along the way.

But for how long? And could the state tie this up for a long time? How long does a lawyer want to take this on? It is going to be interesting. Both sides are talking tough.

Leach just needs to walk away, take some time off and resurface in a couple of years. I have a feeling he realizes he is not in high demand, and after this fiasco with player treatment got out, his prospects are only going to get slimmer.
