Where are the outside shooters going to come from?

Booker

To a lesser extent

Tatum?
Holiday?

Your best 3 point shooters in the league were Grayson Allen and Kennard, they ain't sniffing LA.

Guys like Banchero and Edwards will keep getting better.

Tatum and Brown will still be in their prime.

Flagg will be multiple years in the league.

4 years is a long time in basketball.

If Zion stays healthy 4 years in a row who knows.

Everyone complaining about lack of minutes for Tatum but these young guys will benefit from watching the veterans handle their business

Had these same thoughts and I can easily see team USA not getting the gold in 2028. Guys like Wemby and Joker will still be in their prime by 2028 and they both gave team USA all they could handle.

Ideal roster:

Guards:
Ja
Hali
Brunson/Cunningham
Booker
Brown
Ant

Forwards:
Zion
Tatum
Chet
Davis?
Paolo

Center:
Bam

Probably have to work Flagg in there. lacking girth. Maybe Chet is 240lbs by then. Donovan Clingan is a wildcard for C.

Kawhi was going to be on the team this year had he not been injured. He will be 37 in 2028 but only about 9 months older than Curry was and 15 months older than Durant was this year.

I guess he would have to still be actively playing for the 27-28 season to be considered.

Tatum literally just led the best NBA team to an NBA title

I think he knows how to handle business

if there is one thing i've learned about basketball, its that you CANNOT count on Kawhi Leonard for anything... dude can't stay healthy, number one, and number two, he's not wired like everyone else... he doesn't have the same drive, the same concerns, etc.... i truly think he could give a frick about representing the US, and playing for Team USA... and i highly, HIGHLY doubt he'll still be in the league then anyway...
