I’ll always remember the reaction of the Louisville bench. They freaked out.

Some guy either on the bench or the support staff row behind the bench was visibly puking.

you could see his bone clearly. It was awful.

Here is a gif of the reaction...not the injury

I remember Tyler Thornton of Duke, who was on the court, visibly dry-heaved when he saw it. He may have been the closest of anyone on the court at the time and had a direct shot

It’s crazy that just landing so normally caused something like that. It’s not like he fell from a distance and it snapped

Today I learned Kevin Ware now plays for a Baghdad-based team in the Iraqi basketball league. Strange landing spot.

When Paul George had his incident you could see a chip of bone flying in the air

I talked to an guy on that team a couple years ago when he was on a recruiting visit. He said it was the worst thing he’s ever seen in-person. Legit bone sticking out.

Wasn’t it in front of the Duke bench?

I thought it was in front of Pitino?

I had forgot that he's from Atlanta. Played at Rockdale County(one of my baseball schools) in Conyers east of town.

Jesus I just saw the pic for the 1st time. There is almost a foot of bone sticking out of leg. I’m surprised he was able to walk again after that, let alone keep playing basketball.

Just grabbed my leg while reading the thread title.

Can't believe it's been 9 years.
