You know what is crazy is that butler wanted to join Houston but he didn’t want to make a super team. Houston disnt trade Paul in order to open up a spot for butler. so butler goes to Miami. Now it seems likely that Paul will end up in Miami with jimmy. Whenever they both wanted to be in Houston. this league is wild

I tend to agree that the Warriors are being a bit underrated, but that Clippers' projection is really strange.

Man the NBA really needs to dump the conferences and just seed the top 16 teams in the league.

76ers on paper, should make the finals easily.

Nobody is forgetting how good Porzingis is when he's healthy. They are remembering that he has only played 56% of the games in his 4 year career and that he hasn't played a real game since February of 2018.

People said the same thing about Harden and Paul. "How is it gonna work because there's only one ball!". It worked out just fine.

Didn't that actually wind up with them having to trade CP3 because they didn't get along?

Also, CP3 only had a usage rate of 25 three times in his career and never above 27. Westbrook has never been under 25, over 30 for many years and even over 40.

The Rockets are trying to fit together two guys who have had usage rates of over 40% within the last 3 years.

They look stacked on paper compared to the rest of the East but I wonder come crunch time, who the hell is going to take the big shot. Butler, even with all his flaws, was that guy in the playoffs. Embiid needs to make that jump to the next level imo

Serious question, do you think this ever has a chance of happening?

Meh. Harden wanted to play with his bud russ is what happened. it seems like both morey and d’antoni and me wanted to run it back. but it is a player’s league and harden is gonna get to make those kinda decisions.

Not only that, they're basically a weaker team than OKC in these projections.

I understand that. I'm saying people said the same thing about Harden and Paul when Paul was traded to the Rockets.

It's only an issue when a player is a black hole. Westbrook is not a black hole... he is a willing passer and can keep the ball moving.

Questions about how he is going to fit in Houston's 3-point heavy system are reasonable... but I'm not worried about them sharing the ball.

Paul and Westbrook are two very different players. Paul was a scorer, but pass-first point guard with a very good jump shot and good off the ball movement.

Westbrook is more of a score-first PG that has a mediocre jumpshot and struggles to move without the ball.

Westbrook will bring better intensity and defense, but on offense it will not be a good mesh.

Actually they're not if you look at the full strength CARMELO projections.

If any league we’re going to do it, it would be the NBA

The problem is half the owners are currently benefiting from an easier route to the playoffs/finals and they are the ones who have to sign off on it.

Then again if they are willing to cut back the number of regular season games as been reported, then maybe they can see the light

You gonna see hardwn off ball a lot more when they share the court than when Chris was there. Also they are gonna stagger the minutes the same to where they always have one guy in the court and they will share the court for only 20ish minutes per game.
