Western Conference

Eastern Conference

What’s new in this year’s version? Just like last season, our predictions are driven by a multi-step process, but this time we have included a new defensive metric, a boost for certain players in the playoffs and more.

The East looks like complete shite. It’s a shame Durant tore his achilles. I would put Brooklyn up there with the Sixers and Bucks if KD was healthy

Agree that CC is the favorite. they were also the team to beat before the trade. What this trade does is lines them up better for titles two years from now and next year. Thanks again to Chris. We appreciate you choosing hardwn and CC over all suitors. Your mouth just got to be a little too much I reckon.

Yeah for some reason I felt like the East had gotten much stronger than it was in the past.

But looking at the chart, I'm not so sure.

That’s about where I thought the Mavs would finish if they stay healthy for most of the year.

A lot of people are forgetting just how good Porzingis is and how much he’ll open up the floor for Luka.

I go with 32-34mpg for russ. Pretty much slide him into the role for Chris. Harden MAY rest a little more.

ESPN doesn't have the Lakers in their top 5

Bucks, Nuggets, Clips, 76ers, Rockets

The Rockets biggest advantage is the lack of "chance of 100% implosion due to star players playing completely incompatible styles" metric.

The Suns at 35 Wins, the Spurs at 37 Wins, the Nets at 38 Wins, and the Pacers at 39 Wins are all numbers that seem a bit outrageous. I understand they have their formula, but they probably should’ve deviated from that formula a bit after it spit those numbers out.

I'm not sure how the Mavs and more so the Wolves (lol) are projected to win more games than the Blazers and Spurs. Am I missing something there?

People said the same thing about Harden and Paul. "How is it gonna work because there's only one ball!". It worked out just fine.

One ball is more than enough for 2 ball-dominant players. It's when you add a third guy that it starts to get iffy. LeBron and Wade were just fine. It was Bosh whose numbers went down.

There is more than enough basketball to go around for both Harden and Westbrook just as there was for Harden and Paul.
