The first man to win the WWF Championship at a Wrestle Mania, and the first man to lose the WWF Championship at a Wrestle Mania.

Aside from all his amazing skills, Savage may have been the best booked wrestler of all time, looking at his WWF run from late 1985 to Spring 1994.

Prolly worth something now to a collector.

I’d keep em.

That era Austin had the look, the size, the intensity, the promo, and was a hell of a worker. He didn't have the pure magnetism and controlled tornado chaos that Savage had though.

Yeah I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. Macho Man was cool during the cartoon era of WWF but I honestly don't think there's been a wrestler in history that was more charismatic and more of a draw than Stone Cold during that sweet spot during the late 90s. Macho is not even in the conversation honestly

his "Dark Side of the Ring" episode is well worth the watch and was the first episode that started the series.

I met him and a bunch of others before he became famous, including his dad and brother.

They were on their way in a van to a match and had a flat. My brother stopped and we helped them replace it, and they let us go backstage that night.

FTFY. I do enjoy watching highlights of ric flair and macho super zooted though

I agree about Austin though. His late 90s was peak. No other wrestler came close

Savage was a notorious cheapskate. Iron Skeik said he wouldn’t even buy Miss Elizabeth a hot dog at Costco he told her to buy it

Speaking of showmen:

How to rate Roddy Piper?

W/o pipers pit, WWF was pretty boring, he created the rift game, drama between the wrasslers, etc.

But was he a good wrestler, or games man.

Talk about a perfectionist…. I remember Ricky steamboat once said that the night before WM3 that Randy called him at 2 in the morning and went over every move they were gonna do the next day. It turned out to be one of the greatest matches of all time.

Savage is the most well-rounded performer in the history of the business. He had it all.

I was about to argue for Harley Race being the greatest rassler ever but after the discussion here danged if I can. Savage had everything, he was the whole package.

Supposedly toward the end of his life, after he married his second wife who he’d known before Elizabeth, he really found true peace and contentment and happiness, sad that it didn’t last long.

Savage’s “it factor” was off the charts. He was electric, and he and Liz as a package were tailor made for great storylines.

They were personal favorites of NBC Sports leader Dick Ebersol and were heavily featured on most Saturday Night’s Main Event telecasts.
