Yep, all time classic rant there. Showed his education from his readings slipping in some Alexander and big words then says he wants to eat some fricking kids.

I'm about halfway through this, and man it makes you remember how awesome boxing used to be. The heavyweight bouts used to be must watch television. So awesome.
And holy shite, I forgot about parachute man!
Also forgot exactly how close we came to Tyson vs. Holyfield that first time before Tyson went to prison. I forgot that it was actually signed and set to go thet November, and then Tyson got hurt and then all the Robin Givens shite.
And man, Holyfield always sounded so uneducated. Man. I remember always thinking that growing up, and I definitely remember him toward the end of his career and how bad he sounded. But watching these interviews even when he was younger and before he was a heavyweight fighter, he still seemed like he could barely put coherent sentences together.
But man, Holyfield was shredded in his prime. Dude's back was insane.

I still remember watching the Tyson Holyfield second fight at my grandpas house.
One of the craziest sports events I ever saw.
Also the doc shows how great boxing was. Compared to now.
Eta.....see someone made the same point.

Still watching. I love how honest Tyson seems when he talks about past things. I could listen to him talk about his life for hours.

Boxing is the Latin of professional sports..

Don King ruined Boxing
But you're 110% correct. They really screwed him up. Imagine if "Cus" would have lived 10 more years. Tyson may have still been undefeated.

Is it pretty much consensus Mike would have beaten anyone in his prime?
ETA: Except that 105 lb Asian actor according to this board

There was a thread on here a while back about Mike Tyson vs Bruce Lee. Some people argue Lee would win.

Not according to Holyfield's trainer who said he was the most overrated and beatable heavyweight out there.

GOAT boxing quote.
Never fought anyone so it's hard to judge if Tyson was great or if he was just a thumper.

Tyson never beat anyone of note with the exception of Michael Spinks.
Holyfield fought everyone.
Holyfield fought everyone.

I had never heard him say Evander whipped him after the first fight. I guess I was too busy celebrating what a great fight it was.
I am not a Tyson fan, but he never made the excuses Don King Promotions always did looking back at it.
That 84 Olympic team may have been the best US Boxing team sent to an Olympiad. I believe it had 6 eventual World Champions on it and only 1 non medalist (boycotted though)

I was struck with how jacked tyson was after he got out of prison. And Holyfield talking about how he was "still growing" at 37 years old when Charley Steiner was interviewing him about his cruiser weight days. They were both obviously taking copious amounts of HGH. Made for some awesome heavy weight fights.
Great 30 for 30.
Great 30 for 30.

He didnt say he was still growing at 37. He was referring to when he was at the olympics.
