was able to watch the Chalmette stream. Typical Curtis game for this season. Just outpitch the other team.
good thing I didn’t make the drive lol… oh well losing to Curtis won’t be that bad for power points and we try to salvage a win this weekend tomorrow afternoon against De La Salle

West Monroe now 9-7 on the year. They have played a very tough schedule but need to learn to win some of the close games against really good teams.

St. Louis lost to Eunice on Thursday too then won of ascension episcopal

Barbe beat Sulphur 5-1 to win the tournament to move to 16-1. Griffin is on fire with the bat right now. Wind robbed him of two home runs last night but was 4-5 on Friday, 1-2 yesterday. Bunch of xbh

Sam Houston loses 5-4 to grapevine 5-4. Javorsky Lane, the arky commit on grapevine, had a great two days, grand slam and 2 doubles and a triple

That tourney format really makes me want an early season in-state tourney with all of the big guns. Top 16 in LA, all classes, with each team getting 2 games during the week to determine seeding, then a tourney format starting late week/weekend.

Good luck with getting coaches to agree to that.

new rankings dropped.

Also Jordin Griffin was named MVP of the 2D first pitch classic. Really great tournament.

I've got Lafayette at Acadiana tomorrow.

Hopefully Ty Lamartina is pitching.

Looks like he threw this weekend against Alexandria. I didn’t look up the number of IP.

I believe he threw 5 innings on Saturday. I doubt he comes back tomorrow.

By my count 9 of the top 25 are Catholic schools along I-10.

Why not do an All-Catholic tourney every year during Lent, do a big fish fry with all the fixin's Friday night and make it an annual event. I'm sure it would be easy to find sponsors with those alumni bases.

Take those 9, add 3 more (St. Paul's, St. Mike's, STA, etc) and you get 12. Do 4 pools of 3 teams each. You play your pool (2 games) and then you have a 4-team single elim bracket (1-2 games) based on seeding. The 1's have their own backet, the 2's have their own bracket, the 3's have their own bracket.

Minimum of 3 games, max of 4. Seems perfect, what am I missing?
