yea its cool for sure, very similar to a lot of true travel tournaments
i expect grapevine to beat sulphur
no clue on Barbe vs SH, toss up
True North Classical to beat kelly
Kingwood over STM
Austin Westlake vs lutheran is a toss up
st john over Sapulpa
exhibition games-
Grapevine over Austin Westlake
Kingwood over Sapulpa
i think they did the exhibition games because the texas and ok teams wanted an extra game.
for Barbe to win this they will have run a gauntlet. I think they have alexander tonight to go, but i dunno who the hell they will pitch in the finals.

Barbe is winning a ton of close games. Doesn’t seem to be as dominant
They went to extras with St Louis the other night. 5a looks wide open

French, Westlake and Erath all took a game off of them last season. I agree they are the heavy favorite but baseball is different than most sports

Grapevine throwing a extra pitching game in there before playing Sulphur and then Possibly Sam/Barbe after that doesn't seem smart if they are trying to win. Maybe they have 5 quality arms though

Barbe is the master at winning close games, they typically won't beat themselves, will use ANY means necessary, crowd the plate/HBP, small ball, etc.

huh? neither game last night was close
the st louis game was but understand St louis through their top 2 and barbe through there 4-7 pitchers
only real close games they have had besides that is The bennet school- 2-1 and TBS threw kid sitting 93 touching 95 and then closed with a guy sitting 91-92 topping 93 and they are both big time d1 kids
then zachary and zachary is one of the better teams in the state in 5a and it wa s6-4 and barbe was in control whole time
then Brenham texas game which was 1-0
but barbe and sam houston have had extremely tough schedules playing big time schools from texas and florida. wtf you think is going to happen? they arent going to blow those teams out.
You have this weird thing with barbe where you come on here and find one little thing and harp on it, usually that isnt true, and claim....5a is wide open, barbe is on the decline
its weird af yet you dont say anything when SH beats Fountainblue by 1 three games in a row, loses to mandeville by a run, beats Austin Westlake by a run etc.
and of course 5a is wide open and sam houston is the defending champs. West Monroe has cupoit so they are dangerous, Benton and Zachary are very good, Mandeville beat sam houston earlier in the year
but the two favorites face off tonight in sulphur.

We dropped a game to Shaw yesterday at their tournament, 3-2 in 8 innings, then John Curtis beat them
Now tonight for the first time in my life, I’m going to be at a Chalmette-John Curtis game in any sport. We play tonight at Shaw. They’re 3rd in select and we dropped from 7th to 18th in nonselect with one loss.
(I wasn’t at the baseball playoff game a few years ago at Miley)

Zachary is also 1 of BM's 2 losses. BM was up 6-0 through 2.5 innings. Final score 9-6.

And I'm gonna miss the game tonight for work. Kid's a senior on JC. Hate missing it, hopefully someone has one of those Gamechanger live streams.

We do a live stream but now you gotta be like a premium member to see it… our softball team just figured out to put the game on normal Facebook Live lol

Maybe there is a stream to watch? We have a local outfit that does a great job for our home games.

Barbe beats Sam Houston 4-1
Will prolly play grapevine tomorrow unless Sulphur comes back

I was able to watch the Chalmette stream. Typical Curtis game for this season. Just outpitch the other team. We can't hit decent pitching, but our pitching depth is unlike any Curtis has had in recent years. Bullpen has given up like 6 hits and 2 runs all season. Averaging 1.4 runs allowed through 15 games as a team. If we can wear down the starter and/or get to the bullpen we've got a shot. Problem is Catholic League has pitching depth so it's gonna be a different ballgame starting next week.

Brandon, MS score 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th to beat WM 3-2 in game 1. Then score in the 7th to steal another one 2-1. Wow…WM’s bats outside of a single inning vs Northwood have been cold all year.

HC just lost to Belle Chasse last night, 3-2 in 8 innings. Was a great game
That kid throwing for Belle Chase last night is the real deal.
Holy Cross bounces back tonight vs Belle Chase at home 7-1.
3rd game tomorrow back at Belle Chase.

BM beat Hahnville 8-7. Moves their record to 14-2. I still don't know exactly what to think about the team. They mostly hit the ball well but the pitching gets hit real hard in spurts and they kick it around a bit on defense. Will know more by the end of March, as they get HC, St Paul's, Rummel, Jesuit, and Curtis all crammed in then finish in April with Aug, Karr, and Stanislaus.

West Monroe’s bats aren’t cold. They just aren’t a good hitting team.
