He is about to turn 24.

He probably would have won, but not having to go 5 against Grigor was a big deal. He looked way fresher than Alcaraz and that shows up in serving.

I find him likeable, the banned substance unfortunately sows a seed of doubt in my mind, whether right or wrong. Same for Swiatek with the doubt.

I don’t follow Tennis super close and I always thought Sinner was Scandinavian or Swiss of something.

No idea that he was Italian.

He is Tyrolean, lots of Austro-German genes swimming around in there I'm sure.

Yeah the mainlanders look nothing like the American Italians which I think are mostly more Sicilian.

Sinner is from South Tyrol. It's a part of Italy but is Austrian historically. North Tyrol is actually a state of Austria. Most folks in that far corner of Italy speak German and have Austrian-German cultural habits.

Dueling Daytonas in the trophy presentation. I believe Jannik's is rose gold and Carlitos' is yellow gold, both on OysterFlex strap.

Sinner took the spirit out of Carlos today -that’s saying a lot about Sinner’s game

We very well maybe seeing the GOAT in the making. His ground strokes and movement are just impossible to deal with

I very familiar with that area so that makes sense.

I was strictly talking because of his name.

Sinner vs Alcaraz is the next great rivalry in the sport.

I mean who else is there to beat them? Honestly, these matches are great and I love top notch tennis but if it's just these two constantly in every major finals for the next few years that's going to get a little boring. I'm not sure if there's anyone else ready. Maybe if Shelton advances his skill set. They keep talking about Draper but I'm not quite sure. Zverev unfortunately is a bit of a head case. Fritz doesn't have the clutch gene. Same as Paul. Med is older and falling apart. Who else is there? It'd be nice to at least have that 3rd player.

Eta: I'm still holding out hope that the GOAT can get one more.

Drapers fitness is horrible. Hard to see him holding up for 2 weeks best of 5.

The next challengers are the young kids like Fonseca

Didn't seem too difficult for Dimitrov.
