I’m amazed at the spread between Reddick and Bubba in race finishes for being teammates and having same cars. DEI hires never pan out in long run.l for most part

The wreck tonight was solely caused because of the chase format. Without it I don’t think he wrecks Logano.

That’s the only change they’d have to make to fix all this.

Take away the reward for doing it and it wouldn’t be done. If every position mattered guys would drive differently and it would all work itself out on the track. Don’t need other rules, just scrap the Mickey Mouse playoffs.

These guys have to be the biggest crybabies in sports
you have people wrecking on purpose at the end of every single race in order to get restarts
I don't blame Dillon one bit

You want to know the REAL way to fix it? Get rid of the idea that “cars are disposable” and return some risk to the sport so there’s a real danger that drivers will get their asses killed trying such things. Of course neither will ever happen.

I watch and listen to a lot of V8 supercar stuff. Those guys talk about nascar quite a bit thanks to SVG being over here. All unanimously agree that our point system is dumb and confusing. I’m sure none can fathom just flat wiping someone out for a win.

IMO, a really good and balanced take from Kyle Petty on this.

That explains why the official went off on Lagano after his on track TV interview.

Regarding the last lap at Richmond, many posts seem to be slanted on who the drivers were and how you feel about the driver or team.

I don’t think I heard anyone (TV, radio, internet, etc) ask a very important question (in my humble opinion).

If the type of finish we saw at the end of the Richmond race an acceptable way to end the remaining races this season?

The final 4, in the season ending race, one driver can crash the other 3 contenders on the last lap and be a legitimate champion.

If the Richmond finish is acceptable then that is what NASCAR has come to.

Eta: I haven't posted in this thread in 2.5 months and last night's race was the first one I've watched since the coke 600. But I had to respond to this.

quote:

Lonnie comes in and does down arrow to everyone. He has done this for a few years

Yeah whatever. SteelersBravesDawg started that narrative and it's 100% false. So think what you want, but let me ask you this. How do you explain the two plus weeks of DV's when I was at scout (1 week, 2 weekends) and church camp (1 long weekend the following week) earlier in July? You can't. We didn't have reception at scout camp in the mountains of Idaho and church camp in Colorado was electronics free. As my posts below show, I was off the site for 10+ days in July and the off again the following weekend.

I've handed out my share of DVs on this board (mainly for you know who) But the serial DV'er I'm not.

And for the record, I just DV'ed you on that post. You deserved it...

Brett Griffin had the perfect line about Austin Dillon last night.

First time I ever saw him drive like his daddy.

I’m dead.
