In the dome they do, yes. At Yulman, Turpin, etc they do not.

And it’s just goal posts. Field is not necessary.

They actually only change out the crossbars and use the same uprights.

Those 35 foot uprights with the high school crossbars look huge.

I don't think they ever broadcast those games live. They want to maximize the in-person attendance.

So all four teams in Div 1 finals are publics.

Meanwhile select in Div 2/3/4 are private.

No need for a split in D1.

Thats very short sided thinking imo

Is there really some big bucket of people who fall in both the category of “would go to/travel to the game” and “would also skip if it were on TV”?

Feels like the majority of people in that stadium are folks with a direct connection with the schools playing in them. “Sorry Timmy, we won’t come see you play this weekend because I can watch it on YouTube!” Seems like a rare situation

If ticket sales is really the concern, then do a paid stream.

Same here. Going to support Central. My nephew was one game away in 2008 with Central. If Briscoe doesn't get hurt against Acadiana the previous week Central would have probably beaten Destrahan the next week.

Also going to root on Central, my daughter is a freshman.

Numbers also - or at least hashes marking them

They did them wrong a few years ago and JT made them redo them

That one was brutal. He even played the first series on a torn ACL and we went right down the field and scored, then he couldn’t stay in the game and our backup QB was also a starting WR so it was a double hit and the difference ended up being a 104 yard INT return for a TD by Destrahan. Same defender ended up getting a 100 plus yard INT return in the title game as well if memory serves

If I remember correctly it was 3rd down when the interception was thrown. If Central didn't score, my nephew was supposed to go in and kick FG to go up. Backup QB did a great job coming in.

Many years they were live on cable in 80s and it hurt attendance.

but it's been awhile since no streaming was available. - especially post split and the NFL squeeze making poor game days/times.

I’ve sat in Deanie’s and watched tons of live Dome games. It’s the best way to know when you need to head to the Dome because the later games are never on time.

Complete text of the tweet:

Catch all of the action live on the LHSAA Network. Tune in 30 mins prior to each game for the pregame show as we break down both teams.

You can watch all the live coverage on the LHSAA Network app as well as @yurview_louisiana (Cox Channel 4).

Good luck to all of the teams but especially pulling for Cecilia. One of my buddies is an assistant coach. A good bit of their coaching staff has connections to TCH.
Hope they can get it done after coming up short in the finals last year.
