If you get lapped by the 3rd place car, you should have to retire and clear the track for the mid field battles.

Will be interesting to see if Russell can catch Checo, if not, Checo only drops 1 spot instead of 2 from where he qualied. Underperforming as usual.

Leclerc really made Piastri quit just now.

The smart move is to just sit back and let leclerc/Ferrari implode, then pass them. Lol.

Meanwhile, at the back, Yuki is having a disastrous race. Aside from the usual VCARB strategy error, he ended up behind Sargeant, and lap after lap after lap he has been glued to Sargeant's tail, but the VCARB doesn't have the straight line speed to get by the Williams on the short front straight, even with DRS. Yuki has not said anything on the radio.

If Hulk (P11) and Stroll (P12) finish out of the points, then no damage done.

LOL "RB is lucky to have Max keeping them in this thing"

Even Crofty and them are bashing Checo and his lack of adding anything to the Constructors.

Nice to see Lando close up a bit in the WDC, but if Lando and Max finish P1-P2 for the last 10 races of the season, Lando would also have to get the fast lap of the race for 9 of those races to pass Max in the championship. So we need Max to finish below P2 a few times for Lando to have a realistic chance at the championship. Max is so reliable, we need some mechanical issues or someone crashing into him to make the championship interesting.

Sargeant, who is in real danger of being replaced before next weekend's race at Monza, actually drove a good race to finish P16. He had Yuki glued to his tail for maybe the last 30 laps of the race, but the Williams just had better straight line speed so he fought Yuki off at Turn 1 every lap and didn't make any mistake big enough to give up the position. It was a great defensive drive. Honestly he can be proud of his last F1 performance if this is it.

Most boring race of the season... Really nothing of note happened during the race to keep it interesting

Lando and McLaren closing in on RB and Max could get spicy in a few races

Even though it was boring, the reason it was boring, was so much better

Our old friend Romain Grosjean just pulled another classic Grosjean move in the Portland IndyCar race, reminiscent of Spain 2018.

He was backwards on the track and stopped. He spun the car around to get going again, and ended up right on the racing line...

The best thing to ever happen to his career was hitting that barrier at Bahrain.
