Where is Uralkali based? Russia right?
So why the hell would the Dutch courts get involved? They should either file in Russia or the US.

Former Haas sponsor Uralkali has made a bid in the Dutch courts to seize the Formula 1 team's assets – including cars and other equipment - over an outstanding payment.
Never change, Gene. Never change.

Haas knows they have to pay, a Swiss arbitrator has already told them they have to pay. Sanctions against Russian companies due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine have complicated the situation.
“Russian companies such as Uralkali have been under economic sanctions since, meaning companies like Haas have been unable to make transactions, such as returning the €12 million a Swiss arbitrator ordered it to pay.”
"Haas intends to pay all amounts due to Uralkali pursuant to the arbitration award, and there is no dispute over the amounts due," it read.
"Haas has been working with its lawyers to ensure that the payment complies with all relevant US, EU, UK and Swiss sanctions laws and regulations.
"We will continue to work with Uralkali in the coming days to definitively resolve this matter."

Perez
~0.6s behind Max
Yuki, KMag, Albon and Stroll are all ahead of Checo.
Max P5 behind both Mercedes and McLarens.

and why is he in Alpines #2 seat next year
Has famous name, like Mick Schumacher
Jack Doohan has zero professional championships. Best finishes:
P2 in 2021 F3 championship
P3 in 2023 F2 championship
Not bad, but the system has a problem when Doohan, Lawson, and Antonelli are getting rides before the last two F2 champs.
2023 F2 champ Theo Pourchaire: no ride
2022 F2 champ Felipe Drugovich: no ride

It seems that in evaluating F2 talent, the focus isn’t as much on standings given that there’s a lot of mechanical retirements. Looking at 2023 F2, the drivers with the most FR wins with 3 were Doohan and Bearman, both who have F1 drives now, compared to Theo who only had 1 FR win (although he did have 6 other podiums). Then of course there’s those that do get the chance to f1 test and just don’t have the same speed.

Finally Doohan is confirmed.
Sadly he is in a Alpine tractor, but so was Piastri when he switched to Mclaren.
Good to have 2 young aussies in the field for 2025.
Hopefully he doesn't start the year with a cracked chassis like he did in 2023.

Fair enough, evaluating drivers is complicated. But it seems like a curse to win F2 if you can't get an F1 seat, because you are kicked out of the F2 championship. So if you want to keep racing while waiting for an F1 opportunity, you're forced to leave Europe to try to find a ride in Super Formula or IndyCar.

Just saw that... No way they have a car for Quali
One of the worst crashed cars we've seen in a while. Thing was destroyed then on fire.

Checo showed up at end, but had to burn another set of softs to do it.

A real ugly FP3 for a lot of people.

Lot of drivers complaining about stability, I think because of the winds.

I've never watched a replay of a practice, but I'm gonna have to check this out, at least to see Sargeant's crash.

Damn. Wheel tethers can't do anything when a tire comes off the rim like that. Could have been a lot worse for those marshals and photographers.
