Being up a set one break isn’t really that big of a deal. Especially for women

Everyone else in the stadium should’ve been awarded one kick to that guy’s face as compensation for the delay.

A small part of me just wishes they went to one of the other courts and just left him there for 24 hours.

Wasn't she serving for the match too?

You don’t feel great about it, but it isn’t outlandish

Losing 11 or 12 straight points hurt in the second set. She just hit a wall and Sabalenka got rolling.

People are nuts. Imagine gluing your feet to the concrete. Dumbassery at it's best.

It’s early, but I do not feel very confident about Shelton winning a return game at any point in time

Can Shelton be a star on the tour? For folks who know better than me. 140 MPH serve speed is nuts.

About the first set you would expect

Can Shelton be a star on the tour?
The fact is though he just doesn’t have the feel of a court or how to construct a point as well as his peers
Compare him to Alcaraz, they are both 20. Both from a physical standpoint are ELITE. But Alcaraz has around 1,000 more on court hours than Shelton. The fact that Shelton is where is is at based on the amount of tennis he has played is just insane
Even with a coach for a dad, nothing substitutes for on court hours. He just had no feel for when to come in, when to draw others in, when to let off the gas, etc. It will come, but it’s going to take some time

143 mph second serve… SHEESH

Djok experience and court awareness is gonna beat this punk. Shelton is gonna receive a tennis lesson today.

Nole's anticipation is just insane

Shelton has a lot of talent, but he's playing a cyborg and his ability to construct points is very raw.
