He definitely seems cocky on the court, but in interviews he comes across as very humble. Other players seem to really like him, which you wouldn't expect if he was a d-bag.

Shelton is pretty much one of the only young Americans that isn’t a total queef. Paul and fritz are complete dochebags
Tiafoe isn’t too bad either

Shelton +900 against Djoker. That might get me to bite.
It will be interesting to see who gets the night match. I'm guessing organizers would love to put Shelton and Djoker at night. But, if it's Med/Alcaraz, that may give them an out.

I definitely could be wrong, but I think this is the first time since Wimbledon 2018 that there’s been at least one American to make the semis in all 5 draws.

That's worth it just on injury/cramp chances alone.

You still have Joker with 2 dozen titles screaming on the court for every won point like it was his last.

It really is funny recently when he gets this "I need an enemy in the crowd" shtick. I mean he's now the elder of the sport and he's trying to steal Kyrgios routine.

I feel bad saying this because he seems like an alright guy, but I just find Medvedev to be so boring. Him winning would be so uninteresting.

Rublev is definitely feeling the effects of this heat.

Meddy up a set and a break, but having breathing problems. Says he has a cramp in his chest.

Today I learned what Ventolin is

Rublev has been up a break in every set and he’ll probably lose in straights.

why is 3rd seed Medvedev on same side of bracket as 1 seed Alcaraz?

Someone with a little more knowledge can correct me, but they slot the #1 seed at the top and then #2 at the bottom and then 3 and 4 seeds are randomly slotted in either half. They do the same thing for seeds 5-8 then 8-12 then 13-16 then 16-24 then 25-32 to make the draw.

Rublev has to be the best current player not to make a semi if a major. That dude is cursed
Posted on 9/6/23 at 4:19 pm to Caymus
I think that's basically correct. I believe that after they put one and two in separate halves, they randomly slot the next two guys all the way down to 32. I don't completely understand the rationale, other than maybe they don't want guys to mess around in the leadup tournaments in order to avoid guys in the majors draw. For instance, let's say Rune could have become three by winning Cincy, but he would rather play Alcaraz as number one than Djokovic the two seed. So, he tanks Cincy. Well, the way this draw worked out, he was slotted in Djokovic's half as the fourth seed, anyway.

I think they said he is 0-9 in major quarterfinals.

I was thinking Osaka looks a good bit over her playing weight. Had no clue she had a child.

She had injury issues before getting pregnant too. Her 2022 performance was bad. I'd be shocked if she ever came close to the top of the rankings again.
