He's got lots of time in the V8 SuperCar, on which the new NASCAR car is based.
Plus, the Chicago circuit was new to everyone. No experience advantage there.

But still, he’s doing everything backwards inside the car.
It’s extremely impressive in that aspect alone, but I get the new to everyone aspect of it.
If he were to come to Watkins Glen though and do it on a circuit that Cup guys have been on for decades, it would be like holy shite impressive.
Also, Project 91 is far and away the best opportunity that ringers can get. It gets crew chief’d by a championship crew chief, and I heard on one of the podcasts that that car was the car Suarez drove to the win at Sonoma in 2022.
It’s cool to see a ringer car show up with a shot rather than the guys showing up in Rick Ware, BJ McLeod, a 3rd Spire, etc. cars.

Another thing the broadcast pointed out this weekend (may have been during qualifying) was that SVG was actually using the clutch to shift. Modern Cup cars don’t require a clutch to shift, and most cup drivers really only use the clutch for pit road and sometimes on road courses to prevent wheel hopping. However, some contend that actually using the clutch to shift on road courses makes the car more stable (Max Papis said this on Twitter after the race Sunday night). SVG used the clutch and ended up being the most consistently fast/smooth car in the Cup field all weekend.

One week from tonight, the SRX Series returns. This year it will be on ESPN on Thursday nights, labeled as “Thursday Night Thunder.”

Referring to Hailie Deegan as a “champion driver” feels like a stretch.

I'd like to see those SRX cars on a big track, and even a road course

Go listen to the Dale Jr Download that’s titled something like “Chicago is Huge” that came out yesterday. He and TJ Majors talk a little about that.

She win a bikini contest or something?

As I recall the chassis are used Trans Am cars so they would do pretty well on a roadie.
I don't think Tone is going to go that direction however.

Alan Bestwick.
Wish he was anchoring NBC's coverage

Her wrecking Paul Tracy at Slinger last year after he beat and banged on her all night was pretty funny. Dude cried about it for days afterwards.

Listened to the DJD with Matt Kenseth and he said he has been willing to run SRX races but he has only been offered one race

Kenseth is as exciting as cream of wheat.

2. It’s time to look at timed races that fit into a defined television window and you end up with how many laps you end up with. And not just things like Chicago but ovals too.
NASCAR races take a long arse time compared to the Indycar and F1 series.

I was proud of her for dumping his arse. He earned all of that comeuppance.
And of course he cried, that's all he's done his entire career. He's a fricking crybaby bitch

You're not wrong, but he was such a good driver. Smooth as silk.
And he was and still is underrated AF.

In front of the camera, yes. Away from it he’s an overgrown kid and funny as hell. In more recent interviews his wry humor comes out more than it did when he was driving full time but it’s always been there.

He's always had a really good sense of humor.

Kenseth will always have a special place in my heart for T-boning Joey Logano. It was so un-Kenseth, which made it even better.
