That's a good question. I think it depends on how much Lance underperforms this year. The pressure on him is just going to build more and more this year. Alonso will be happy to destroy him.

Not a chance, every move Papa Stoll makes is to get Lance closer to the front. He bought him a team, he's sniped away some of the best engineers, he's building a state of the art facility. Lance has a seat until Lance doesn't want a seat.

It's like the billionaire version of travel ball where the coach wants to exclusively highlight his son.

ETA: I don't think Lance is terrible, I don't think he's top 5 and he's made some boneheaded mistakes but at this point in his career but I don't consider him unworthy of a seat like Mick, Nikita or Latifi were.

Yeah AM exists entirely to give Lance a seat.

But if Ham left Merc for AM, who runs pretty much all Merc's parts, i'd lol.

Papa Stroll seems like the kind of guy that would do that, especially if Alonso comes in at #2 or #3 and Lance comes in around 7 or possibly lower.

Kind of hard to judge Lance because he's always been a mid tier driver in a bottom to mid-teir car. He kind of did okay in the pink Mercedes. That said, he doesn't know how to use mirrors :lol Let's see if he can run with the big dogs. I don't have high expectations, but every so often he turns it on and can drive. It's just not a skill he can sustain for a full race, much less an entire season.

Wow. And the new less than $500 seats will have no view of track lol:

@A_S12

@F1LasVegas says it sold out of $500 GA tickets for this year, and it only put 1,800 on sale due to potential space constraints @MSGSphere, per source.

There'll be a second GA area, a festival zone with 30K tickets for less than $500 but without track views, in a few months.

Looking at tickets for Miami. Sunday only seems to start at $588 a pop and goes way up from there. It's just a 2 hour drive so the tickets are just about the only expense.

No Porsche
honestly it didn't make much sense for VW to fund two separate engine development programs
in F1. Just pick one and go. Id rather it was porsche though

Papa Stroll knows he needs the best car to stand a chance. He will take the best driver available ourside of his son, but he doesn't need to pay for Hamilton to gain some sort of advantage.

No way Hamilton and Merc end their partnership, no reason to do so for either side. No one has a better chance of beating RBR than Merc and there are no drivers above Hamilton looking for a job.

Has anyone figured out what hotel you can stay at and just parts of the race from a balcony, bridge, or rooftop?

I just looked up Senor Frogs. I get bottle service and a VIP table for up to 6 people on November 18th at 9 PM. Is this too good to be true?

12 hours of Sebring. Can’t wait to see him do the endurance races in real life. Guarantee he’ll take a year off before 30 to do all the endurance races.

How did you do that? I can't get anything to open on their website.

Aside from paying $20 per beer, if your table looks out to Las Vegas Boulevard, I'd say you did well.

I went to Eventbrite and found the events they had the night of the race.

That's the part I'm worried about. How is it going to be if I show up that night? Will I be able to walk around upstairs? I noticed they have a bar with stools upstairs near the balcony.

In other news, the left wing Brazilian government has ordered Nelson Piquet to pay a $1m. fine for saying what they claim is a portugese black/gay slur in reference to Hamilton in 2021.

for collective moral damages, to be allocated to funds for the promotion of racial equality and discrimination against the LGBTQIA+
I don't speak Portugese, and I'm not defending whatever he said, but that's fricking insane. Elections have consequences.

The charges were filed by several human rights groups, including Brazil’s National LGBTI+ Alliance.

In their complaint, the human rights groups said that Piquet violated the norm of human dignity enshrined in the country’s constitution. The judge said Piquet’s comments corresponded to the definition of racial discrimination outlined in Brazil’s 2010 Statute of Racial Equality.

To each country their own...I guess

I couldn’t imagine having a 4.0+ license, registering for a race, doing a few practice laps and mfing VES joins the race. Which is why iRacing is so much more legit than the other race sims.
