I have no idea how points are being calculated in this pool.

Saying that, I think I'm getting fuct. Somehow.

I think I figured it out. The idea is how well you guess the placement of each driver and team in their respective championships. You only get points when you place a team or driver correctly in the exact position. My understanding is that our championship is just the points you get for the final order at the end of the year. The points you see after each race is just for fun, they don't accumulate. At least I think that's how he's doing it.

Yep, only get points for correct placement. 20-1 for driver, 20-2 for team. Resets every week, but I can keep track of the whole season if we want.

1st race was won by Red Bulls #1 driver.

2nd race was won by Red Bulls #2 driver.

3rd race… ?

All the talk on social from the talking heads is about Red Bulls dominance being boring for the sport… don’t disagree, but RB is only 15% into the dominance phase that Mercedes exited 2yrs ago.

Putting Danny Ric in the Red Bull for the Aussie GP would be massively popular, but I think the guy who won the last race and is just one point off the championship lead would be a little annoyed.

Maybe Checo or Max will be sick and Danny will have to step in. One can only hope

Agreed and I’m a RB fan. This is the only sport where I wish my team was challenged more. I want LSU to destroy every team by a lot but I’d like to see RB have to really fight off other cars every race and lose some.

Putting Danny in the RB for the Aussie GP and still finishing 1, 2 just to say screw you guys you can’t touch us would be funny.

Maybe Checo or Max will eat some bad kangaroo and get food poisoning.

I think a bigger problem is the technical directives made to try to nerf Red Bull end up hurting the racing since now the dirty air is back.

Taking a flyer that Checco might drop to the 5th (can't remember) driver was a bold move that doesn't look like it's going to pay off. I already have a hard time seeing someone catching him for the #2 spot.

No Porsche

quote:

Porsche will not join the Formula 1 grid in 2026 as it is believed to have ended its formal evaluation of a programme despite the championship still being of interest.

The Volkswagen Group-owned manufacturer intended to enter F1 alongside sister brand Audi as part of the new engine regulations.

quote:

While Audi decided to commit to building its own F1 engine and concluded a deal to buy into the Sauber team, Porsche’s talks with the likes of Red Bull and McLaren collapsed because Porsche wanted to buy a significant stake – or even a controlling one.

was hoping they'd get a piece of mclaren or williams
